Canadian rapper Drake has announced plans for a UK tour to take place in March 2014.

The tour will be in support of his latest No.1 album 'Nothing Was The Same' which features hit tracks such as 'Hold On We're Going Home' and Started From The Bottom'.

The tour will consist of 8 concerts, starting in Manchester's Phones4u Arena on March 11th and will finish in London for 2 dates at the o2 Arena.

Drake will be joined by fellow Canadian performer Abel Tesfaye, who is known as The Weeknd. The 23 year-old has recently released his debut album 'Kiss Land' and the track 'Live For' features vocals from Drake.

The tour will follow Drake's huge North American 'Would You Like A Tour?'

The tour, which is supported by Future and Miguel, didn't get off to the greatest of starts , before the first show began Drake was forced to postpone the starting date "due to an intense rehearsal schedule and technical production requirements that will be part of the show."

Another issue surfaced when Drake was meant to play at Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center on October 19th. Concertgoers were already filling the 20,000 capacity arena when the news broke that the concert was cancelled.

The venue announced the cancellation with this following statement, "Due to the elaborate nature of tonight's show and an unexpected technical issue, Drake's 'Would You Like A Tour?' concert at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia has been postponed until Wednesday, December 18."

Hopefully when the 'Take Care' rapper crosses the pond, his tour will be a much more smooth operation.
