British pop star Duncan James was rushed to hospital after suffering complications over the weekend (25-26Jun16) following his slipped disc surgery.
The Blue singer underwent an operation for the prolapsed herniated disc, which had damaged his nerve, on 9 June (16) and was expected to remain in a London hospital to recover for a short time.
However, Duncan wasn't released until 23 June (16), and after only a few days of being back home, his health worsened and he began suffering from post surgery complications. His concerned family called the emergency services and Duncan was rushed back to hospital via ambulance over the weekend (25-26Jun16).
He underwent further surgery at Charing Cross Hospital in London on Sunday (26Jun16).
"We are all genuinely concerned for Duncan’s health & wellbeing at this time but he is in good hands and has a great medical team around him," Blue's manager Paul DH Baylay told WENN in a statement. "All of the boys in Blue are being kept updated and will be visiting him in hospital."
The 38-year-old was due to begin filming scenes for his new role in U.K. soap opera Hollyoaks, but his start date was pushed back until Monday (27Jun16) following his first emergency surgery. It isn't clear how the schedule will be affected by his second hospitalisation.
