VISIONS festival, in association with Nudie Jeans, Sailor Jerry and Loud & Quiet, has announced the latest additions to the already impressive and eclectic line-up that will be descending upon Hackney, London, on 10th August. Joining the likes of !!!, F****d Up, Cloud Nothings, Jeffrey Lewis and The Haxan Cloak will be Koreless, East India Youth, Paws, Gaps, Kirin J Callinan and Primitive Parts.
Proving that Visions isn't just about one type of band or one type of sound the current line-up hosts a wealth of the best punk, indie, lo-fi and electronica acts currently making the best sounds around the globe and pushing each genre into somewhere new.
Alongside the music we are pleased to announce that BELLY KIDS will be hosting a specially curated exhibition celebrating everything that's obscure!
Belly Kids is a label which releases a mutated concoction of Books, Prints, Zines, Tapes, Tee Shirts... Basically if we're into it, we'll put it out. We've had the pleasure to take our creepy vision to galleries up and down London, we're stoked to be putting something together for Visions Festival.
As a group we take inspiration from the food, records, stories we love. NO, not in a cute way. If you feel a bit gross'd out by the end of the show, well thank God, my brain isn't pretty. Expect everything from Tantric Pizza Slices, Bill Murray, WWF era Wrestling, Hot Dogs, Ancient Egypt, 90s Grunge, Sultry Sea life, Death Row, Outter Space and Sex'd up Poetry.
As well as the art exhibition there will be a record fair where you can indulge in some mid-summer LP purchases.
As previously mentioned the three stages will be hosted in three neighbouring warehouses - Oval Space, Netil House and The London Fields Brewhouse*. Each will boast roof terraces or inviting outdoor spaces that will be particularly perfect for the notorious UK summer sunshine.
(* NOTE VENUE CHANGE FROM HACKNEY NEW EMPOWERING CHURCH)
Nearly three years old, NETIL MARKET is set moments away from London Fields. Expect great food from the likes of Lucky Chip, Breddo's Taco Shack, Fin And Flounder, Victoria Yum Cakes and BAO London as well as refreshments from Terrone Coffee and Streetshakes milkshakes and juices. All this alongside vintage clothing, jewellery designers, niche accessories, up-and-coming labels and other curious bits and pieces. A welcoming atmosphere and comfortable dining area is sure to cure even the sorest of heads.
There is one final announcement to be made that will include a very special act. Visions will also be announcing more attractions in the lead up to the event, keep visiting VISIONS for all information and new announcements.
