Edward Furlong, the American actor who rose to fame at the age of 14-years-old after playing 'John Connor' in Terminator 2, has been arrested for violating a restraining order against his estranged wife RICHAEL KNEELAND, according to the UK's Daily Mail. Furlong was taken into custody just hours after attending the premiere of his new movie 'The Green Hornet'.
The 33-year-old appeared in court yesterday (11th January 2011) for a progress hearing where a city attorney told the judge that the actor had breached an order that requires him to stay at least within 100 yards away from his wife. Furlong reportedly came within 50 yards of Kneeland last month. The actor returned to the red carpet on Monday (9th January 2011) after a troubled few years which has seen him split from his wife of three years and battle a drug and alcohol problem. Kneeland had sought the restraining order claiming that the actor had threatened suicide, stating at the time "his drug use has escalated along with attacking me and threatening my life".
Furlong is now being held on $75,000 bail after being handcuffed and taken away by authorities at around 11.30am yesterday. In 'Green Hornet', he plays the role of 'Tupper', a hang criminal who does battle with SETH ROGAN's character.
