Elin Nordegren, who is reportedly dating Jamie Dingham, has demolished the $12.2 million mansion that she purchased following her divorce from the shamed golfer Tiger Woods. According to CBS news, the Swedish model had originally intended to renovate the 1930s building but eventually decided to take a wrecking ball to the property and build an entirely new home on the plot of land, on North Palm Beach in Florida.
The discovery of Nordegren's actions was made after an aerial photo of the area was taken on January 5, 2012, showing an empty plot where the mansion once stood. The Cbs report states that the property, in the illustrious Seminole Landing neighbourhood, had eight bathrooms, a swimming pool in the grounds and a floor space of 17,000 square feet in total. As a result of her widely-publicised divorce settlement from Woods in 2010, Nordegren was awarded $110 million. Whilst they were married, the 32 year-old model lived with Woods in Orlando.
The marriage ended dramatically when she discovered that he had had several extramarital affairs. The spotlight was thrown onto the couple's relationship when Woods crashed his car trying to leave their property, back in November 2009. From there, the tales of his infidelity began to surface in the media and the couple eventually divorced in August 2010.
