As E! reports, the Dollhouse actress was unloading her belongings from a car outside the hotel when her expensive handbag was snatched. Two men in costume, one dressed in a gold 'Caesar' outfit, robbed Dushku and took her $4000 Louis Vuitton handbag. The handbag was reportedly a present from Sharon Osbourne so evidently had sentimental meaning in addition to its monetary value.

Dushku kept fans up to date with the incident via Twitter, causing some fans to worry her account may have been hacked. However, it was definitely Dushka as she confirmed with a selfie post. Dushku, in a series of tweets, explained the two men and their crime had been caught on camera but that the police and hotel security had seemingly been slow to act and unable to do anything.

Dushku first made her followers aware of the situation writing "Was just robbed in front of my hotel a few hrs ago. Cameras caught everything: hotel/police/security weren't able to do anything." She continued by stressing how "upset" she was at the situation and further appealed to people living in Providence for help in identifying the criminals. Dushku further announced the men were in the hotel, although it's uncertain whether they were guests or not, and asked the hotel company to keep an eye out.

The police confirmed there had been an incident involving Dushku and issued a statement which reads: "Apparently she [Dushku] put her pocketbook down while she was getting other things out of her car and another guest of the hotel picked it up. The police looked at surveillance tape and were able to identify the suspect and a companion."

Fortunately, it was a happy ending for Dushku as the two men were apprehended by police and her bag returned to her. Dushku confirmed her bag had been returned and thanked fans for their support.
