Ellen Degeneres, Anderson Cooper, Laverne Cox and Jane Lynch are among the stars named on Out magazine's annual Power 50 list.

The 57-year-old talk show host has lost the top slot on the publication's annual list of the most influential LGBTI voices in American culture to Apple CEO Tim Cook, but she is still in a prominent position as she is in second place this year.

Rounding out the top five are MSNBC star Rachel Maddow, US Senator Tammy Baldwin and CNN anchor Anderson.

'Orange is the New Black' star Laverne made ninth place on the list, one ahead of 'Watch What Happens Live' host Andy Cohen.

'Glee' creator Ryan Murphy is in 11th place, one ahead of actress Jane, who played cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester in the musical drama series.

Other famous faces to make the list include actors Neil Patrick Harris and Zachary Quinto, directors Lee Daniels and Bryan Singer, musicians Sia and Frank Ocean, actress Ellen Page, and fashion designers Michael Kors, Alexander Wang, and Tom Ford.

When compiling the list, the publication chooses its criteria from a number of things including ''political clout or visibility in the media to how they impact our economy and our view of the world.''
