The Victoria's Secret fashion show is returning to New York.

The iconic runway event - which sees the underwear giant's angels and models sashay down the catwalk in the brand's most extravagant designs - will take place in the Big Apple this year to coincide with its 20th anniversary.

The label broke with tradition to host the event across the pond in London for the first time last year, but has decided to return to NYC as it was the site of the first ever Victoria's Secret fashion show in 1995, reports PEOPLE.

The company's CEO Sharon Jester Turney said: ''For this year's show, our twentieth, we're returning to where it all began.''

A host of new faces are set to hit the catwalk after the brand announced 10 beauties were joining the ranks of angel in April.

Victoria's Secret decided to give a number of their existing lingerie models, including Elsa Hosk, Sara Sampaio and Lais Ribeiro their wings, after they walked in the London show.

Stella Maxwell, Kate Grigorieva, Taylor Hill, Martha Hunt, Jac Jagaciak, Romee Strijd amd Jasmine Tookes have also all been promoted to Angel status and will join existing beauties Candice Swanepoel, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosia, Behati Prinsloo, Lily Aldridge and Lindsay Ellingson in this year's hotly anticipated event which is rumoured to be taking place in November.

The label said in a statement: ''The expanded Angel lineup gives Victoria's Secret the largest group of contract models in its history and the most powerful collection of established and emerging models in the world.''

Noticeably absent from the show will be Doutzen Kroes and Karlie Kloss, who announced they had hung up their wings earlier this year to focus on other projects.

Doutzen, 30, ended her contract with the company at the end of last year after being offered a new ''business opportunity'', while Karlie, 22, is ending her collaboration with the brand when her contract runs out later this year to focus of on her ''myriad commitments''.
