Eminem makes several pointers to his rapping style being robotic in the song – something he presumably takes as a compliment – and this is evident in his video.

Are Eminem And Kim Mathers Are On The Verge Of Getting Back Together?

Eminem and his ex-wife Kim Mathers have had a very turbulent relationship over the years.

There are now rumours surfacing that imply the two could be reconciling for a third time.

Lily Allen Pipped To The No. 1 Spot By Martin Garrix' Debut

Lily Allen Ellie Goulding Eminem Rihanna Little Mix

Lily Allen couldn't secure her place at the top of the UK Singles Chart this week, as her cover of Keane's 'Somewhere Only We Know' was pipped to the podium by a school kid from The Netherlands. Garrix managed to secure the top spot ahead of Allen with his dancefloor anthem 'Animals,' beating Allen's holiday number to the top of the chart.

Allen's cover, which serves as the soundtrack for the much-applauded John Lewis Christmas advert, was unable to earn the singer her first number one since returning to music a few weeks ago. Still, the success of the single and the advert have gone on to spark renewed interest in the Keane original, which has returned to the chart at No. 29.

Garrix could have had the honour of being the youngest artist to reach No. 1 this year were it not for the infectious 'Royals' by 16-year-old Lorde reaching the top spot three week ago. Regardless, reaching the No. 1 spot overseas must be a pretty extraordinary feeling, especially when you're just 17! Speaking to OfficialCharts.com, the Dutch wunderkind said, “I didn't expect this success at all! I made Animals as a club record and seeing it chart so high worldwide and especially a Number 1 in the UK was really beyond my expectations. I will definitely celebrate this with my parents, friends and at school!"

'ARTPOP' Drops: Lady GaGa released her fourth studio album, ARTPOP, on the 11th November after a rollercoaster few months ensuring her new record would hit the charts running. However, middling reviews and an anti-climactic release after months of leaked songs, incentives to buy and mini monster melt-downs means Mother Monster's new work may have misfired. But the elusive Gaga showed that through it all she had a sense of humour when she parodied her infamous meat dress on SNL. See how here.

Miley performed her Bangerz hits 'We Can't Stop' and 'Wrecking Ball' in her characteristically skimpy outfits. See photos here. But it was when she puffed on a very suspicious roll-up during her 'Best Video' acceptance that made the internet buzz. Find out more here.

Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP 2 Album Review

Thirteen years is a long time in the music industry; it's a long time in general, but in music it is a long time indeed. Yet, that is just how long it's been since Eminem brought out the first 'Marshall Mathers LP' and after this lengthy wait, the Detroit rapper has brought out the 'sequel' to his much-celebrated sophomore release. His latest album isn't so much a reflection on these past thirteen years as it is a return to the Marshall Mathers of thirteen years ago and on 'MMLP2', Eminem revisits his personas of old: Slim Shady and the angry young white man who is still struggling with his relationships and his demons.

Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP 2 Album Review

For long-time Eminem fans, ones who may have given up on him after 'Encore' or maybe held on until 'Relapse', 'MMLP2' offers hope of a classic Eminem album, but there is a necessary reluctance to accept it immediately as a return to glory. Whilst caution is advised, some of the cynics may actually be pleasantly surprised.

"Here's a sequel to the 'Marshall Mather LP' just to get people to buy", he remarks on album opener and 'Stan' sequel 'Bad Guy.' He's always been one of the sharpest rappers out there and here, said from the perspective of the grieving brother of the 'Stan' protagonist, Em lets us know that he's well aware of the fact that most people are expecting 'Recovery 2', rather than a 'Marshall Mathers LP' sequel. 'Bad Guy' is our first real surprise then, with Em's storytelling back at its peak, drifting menacingly over the S1/M-Phazes beat. Towards the end of the album, on 'Headlights', his storytelling is again on top form as he reminisces through a troubled forty-plus years as his mother's son. Sure, it's another track aimed at his mother, but Em's lyrics are heartfelt and the song genuinely feels like an attempt at reconciliation. Nate Ruess of fun. fame sometimes distracts away from the delicacy if the song, but his sung parts are a needed break from the wholehearted openness of Em's lyrics.

It was what she did to celebrate winning the Best Video award that won her the headlines.

Did Eminem Really Mime 'Berzerk' On SNL? [Video]

Eminem

Lip synching: it's a shameful option for any artist to have to fall back on but sometimes miming to music has to be done to keep that "live" performance sounding tight. However, rapper Eminem is one of the last artists you'd imagine opting for the lip synch over real vocals. If not for the stigma, then for the fact that his latest album, Marshall Mathers LP 2, is packed with speed rapping; the kind you'd imagine would be nearly impossible to mime along to. Check out the video of his performance on SNL - notice anything?

He took to the stage for a rendition of his lead single 'Berzerk' but even not so eagle-eyed viewers may have noticed something a little off about his performance. TMZ have accused the rapper of lip synching and indeed it does appear that the SNL footage does corroborate with this claim.

Eminem Delivers Powerhouse Performance As Musical Guest On SNL

Eminem Rick Rubin

Eminem graced the SNL stage for the sixth time in his career last night, performing his latest single Berzerk, which really got the audience going. He was backed by longtime collaborator Rick Rubin, who took on the job of DJ, providing the sample of Billy Squier's "The Stroke" on his turntables. Eminem emerged soon after, on top form, spitting out a slew of verbal middle fingers, mercifully without censoring himself for the Studio 8H audience.

He displayed some unusual energy throughout the performance, dashing from side to side to the rock-ish beat and occasionally engaging the audience in a little call-and-response (because a performance is nothing without a nice bit of audience participation, right?)

Alongside fellow music video veteran Chris Milk and executive producers Vice Media and Sunset Lane Entertainment, Jonze isn't planning on making a showcase that can be easily compared to the VMAs or the Billboard Awards, for example, as they are going for a completely unique take on the tried and tested music awards ceremony.

Eminem Puts 'Marshall Mathers LP 2' Up To Stream For Free Ahead Of Official Release

Eminem

Eminem has been regularly off loading tracks from his upcoming eighth album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, for the past few weeks now, gradually releasing new singles from the album as soon as the hype from the last has died down. With the official release date of his album fast approaching, Em joined a number of other artists who have made their material available for free ahead of the official release date through iTunes.

Eminem
Eminem is still an angry man

The album goes on sale officially on 5 November and as the title suggests, it is a hark back to his most acclaimed album to date, and is a release that the Detroit hero described himself as being more "revisitation" to his 2000 album than a direct sequel. This means references to past tracks, such as album opener 'Bad Guy' - a follow-up to the hit single 'Stan.' On 'Bad Guy,' Em returns to the 'Stan' character, rapping as his brother as he sets out to avenge his suicide and kill the rapper as retribution. So yeah, he's also regained that trademark dark streak back as well. Which is nice.

However, where Eminem goes usually controversy follows and this track isn't an exception. The lyrical content of 'Rap God' has attracted a backlash from the gay community and other gay high profile figures.

Tis the season for album promotion and Eminem is the latest to join the hype team. The rapper teased his upcoming “Marshall Mathers LP 2” be releasing the much anticipated (hey, someone must have anticipated it) tracklist. More importantly, Shady revealed collaborations aplenty. It looks like the Lose Yourself rapper’s policy on collaborating with mainstream artists has become more lax of late. Rihanna, Nate Rues, singer-songwriter Skylar Grey and that oh-so-popular of late hip hop prodigy Kendrick Lamar all show up on the tracklist, released via Mathers’ official website. For those raising an eyebrow in question, Nate Rues might be more familiar as the lead singer of the band Fun.

Bezerk: Can Anyone Explain Eminem's ESPN Interview Yet? [Video]

Viewers of ESPN's Michigan-Notre Dame halftime show got plenty more than the usual punditry and analysis this past weekend. Detroit native Eminem dropped into the studio to give a sneak preview of his new music video for Berzerk, though things got.err...pretty weird.

Kicking off the interview with one of the strangest, eeriest blankest stares ever, Eminem eventually blurted out, "sorry, live TV freaks me out a little bit," as anchors Kerk Herbstreit and Brent Musburger pressed on. There's a really great bit when Eminem looks at Herbstreit, and apologizes, and Herbstreit just sort of goes, "Nahhh" and laughs a little and has no idea what to say.

Attention turned to Eminem's new album The Marshall Mathers LP 2, "What are you most excited about with this new album?," Herbstreit asked. "Nothing" came the reply, with another blank stare.

Eminem Dr Dre Rick Rubin Jay Z Kanye West

As Eminem rocked the crowds at Reading & Leeds Festival in England over the weekend, on Sunday (25 August) night the rapper had yet another treat in store during the MTV Video Music Awards. During one of the ad-breaks in the show, the Detroit wordsmith featured in a commercial for his mentor Dr Dre's Beat By Dre headphones range, with the details of his next album included in the ad (check out the commercial below).

Em will release his next album before 2013 is over

The ad came moments after Eminem's Twitter and Instagram accounts exploded with teasers from Em about his upcoming album, the first since 2010's Grammy-winning Recovery, and not only revealed the release date of the album but also told us who Em has been working with on his latest full-length effort. With Dre and the legendary Rick Rubin serving as the album's executive producers, the album will be out on 5 November later this year.

Weather-Worries Are Looking Few For Leeds And Reading Festival 2013

Reading & Leeds Logo
It may be nearing the end of the summer but Leeds and Reading Festival 2013 goers don't have much to worry about in terms of the unpredictable English weather this weekend (August 23rd - 25th).

The Met Office website has suggested some okay weather for Friday and Saturday with information still to come for Sunday. According to them, Leeds can expect temperatures going up to 23 degrees on Friday though mostly accompanied by clouds, while the following day seems to be a little cooler with a good chance of rain for most of the day before clearing up towards the evening. As for Reading, you lucky Southerners; you can expect rather a sunny morning and temperatures of possibly 25 degrees on the first day, though Saturday in Reading will perhaps also see some spots of rain before the evening approaches.

BBC Weather appears to be more optimistic, seeing 24 degree temperatures in Leeds and 26 in Reading on the Friday, though it looks mildly wet for most of the day on Saturday in Leeds and fairly bright in Reading. Sunday could be the nicest day of the weekend as campers emerge from their tents with their penultimate hangovers to find it brightening up in Leeds at 25 degrees and even reaching 27 in Reading. Other sources suggest similar forecasts, though there have been suggestions of a little rain on the Friday; possibly not disposable raincoat and heavy-duty wellies style weather, however.

Eminem "Shocks The World" With Killer Set At G-Shock New York Party

Eminem D12 Obie Trice

Eminem might be busy working on a new 2013 album, but if he is, he sure isn’t letting anything slip. Meanwhile, as various music columns speculate on Shady’s 2013 offering, the rapper seems content to perform the kind of career-spanning sets that seem more at place at the end of an artist’s run, than right before an album – not that we’re implying anything, of course.

Eminem, Lollapalooza
The set was all the more precious for marking one of Shady's rare appearances of late.

This past Wednesday night, Eminem performed just that kind of extended set at G-Shock's "Shock The World" party in New York. The brand also announced the upcoming release of Eminem’s own, limited edition Detroit-themed watch later this year, MTV reports. The announcement was slightly overshadowed, however, by Eminem taking the stage to perform some of his greatest hits, from Marshall Mathers tracks like 'Kill You' and 'Stan' to Recovery's 'No Love.'

Beyonce Enlivens Ailing Detroit With Sam Cooke's 'Change Is Gonna Come'

Beyonce Knowles Neill Blomkamp Sam Cooke Eminem Kid Rock

Beyonce injected some much-needed optimism into the city of Detroit on Saturday night with a swashbuckling show at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Last week, Detroit became biggest ever city to file for bankruptucy, with Michigan Governor Rick Snyder saying the Motor City is "basically broke," according to BBC News.

However, a dizzying performance from the world's biggest entertainer distracted the city's people, if only for two hours.

The 31-year-old's set was full of attitude, soul and passion and she paid tribute to the town with a cover of Sam Cooke's classic song 'Change is Gonna Come' as a video montage of Detroit themes played behind her all-girl band. Kid Rock, Eminem, Joe Louis, The Renaissance Center, a United Auto Workers logo and a motivational quote from Henry Ford all apperared.

"How To Make Money Selling Drugs" Offers Controversial Look At The Drug Trade In America

Eminem Adrian Grenier 50 Cent Susan Sarandon

Eminem recalls his battle with prescription drug addiction in a new clip from the tell-all documentary How To Make Money Selling Drugs. The film is co-produced by Entourage star Adrian Grenier and also features testimonies by 50 Cent and Russel Simmons among others. Director Matthew Cooke explains that the selection of interviewees had much more to do with experience, rather than fame alone.

Adrian Greniere, Sapphire Pool And Day Club
Grenier takes on the heavy topic in his latest documentary.

"it wasn't just random people." He explains in an interview with Maxim. "The celebrities were also picked because they have an invested interest in talking about [the issues] they brought to the screen. I think everyone in the film who participated was the best representative we could find to speak to a particular aspect of this very complex and deeply relevant, moving issue." "When I took my first Vicodin, it was like this feeling of 'Ahh.' Like everything was not only mellow, but [I] didn't feel any pain ... I just remember liking it more and more," Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, recalls in a particularly chilling part of the released clip. Through the stars’ personal accounts, the film tackles the goal of exposing the drug trade in America. However, the almost sympathetic look on drug dealers that Grenier provides, presented some challenges, like making it difficult to find subjects willing to appear on camera.

Eminem Drops Visceral New Track On Tony Touch's 'Piecemaker 3' Album [Listen]

Eminem

In his distinctive style, Eminem (AKA Marshall Mathers) explodes into the 1min30sec song sneak preview, spitting out a stream of the witty and incisive as well as the bizarre and BUUURN lyrics.

In true Shady style he mixes his free associative verse with classic disses on his fellow celebs and complaints about "hoes."

"Hell yeah I nailed J. Lo - to the railroad," he rhymes one minute then, "Don't ask me wassup with the hoes, I'm still working the kinks out/ Love stinks, that explains all this anger that's spilling out, and I ain't chilling out/ Got an Oscar, but I'm still a grouch/ I use as a door stop and a prop for the broken leg for the couch," the next, showing the 100 million + selling performer hasn't let his extreme fame and wealth change his ways.

After Three Years In The Making, Eminem's New Album Is Due For A Post-Memorial Day Release

Eminem

First Justin Timberlake and now Eminem is coming out with a new album this year. It will be his first release since the 2010 Recovery and it’s safe to say that a lot of people are eagerly anticipating this one. According to Paul Rosenberg, the president of Eminem’s Shady label, Mathers is gearing up for a summer release and is already well into the process. Rosenberg predicted for Billboard that Eminem’s eighth studio release will drop sometime after Memorial Day.

"We fully expect to be releasing a new Eminem album in 2013. He’s been working on it for some time," Rosenberg tells Billboard. "It’s safe to say that it will be post-Memorial Day at some point, but we’re not exactly sure when. We’ve got some dates locked in for him to perform live in Europe in August, so we’re trying to see what else lines up."

But hey, European tour dates, that’s also a welcome piece of news for Eminem fans. And with some dates already planned for the States and various collaborations in the works, it is shaping up to be a pretty busy year for the controversial rapper. But let’s face it, we’ve always known that Mathers is a workaholic, ever since the early days of his career. That means one good thing though. When Rosenberg says summer, he really does mean summer. And sooner, rather than later.

New Eminem Album In 2013? More Than Likely

Eminem

A much-anticipated new Eminem album might not be that far away, according to a record label boss. The Detroit rapper is expected to release a new record in 2013, Billboard report.

"We fully expect to be releasing a new Eminem album in 2013. He's been working on it for some time," explained Paul Rosenberg, president of Eminem's label Shady Records. "It's safe to say that it will be post-Memorial Day at some point, but we're not exactly sure when. We've got some dates locked in for him to perform live in Europe in August, so we're trying to see what else lines up." This is the latest piece of big news for Shady fans, after it was confirmed the mercurial rapper will perform an outdoor gig in Glasgow this August. He's the first act announced for a brand new concert series called the Glasgow Summer Sessions and will take to the stage in the city's Bellahouston Park on August 20. Marshall Mathers is also set to headline Slane on August 17th, before performing at the Reading and Leeds. Busy!

For Rosenberg, it's not just getting new records out in 2013, but to enhance the online presence of the brand and increase merchandising opportunities. "With all the talent that we have on this label and all the material that we created, there's no reason that we shouldn't be able to provide a rich online experience for people that goes beyond people just checking in on when a new song or video is released," he says. "I'm very focused on figuring out how to keep them engaged and entertained so that when we do have a product coming, it's a lot easier to grab their attention or get them to buy a record or listen to it or watch a video, etcetera, than to pull them out of some other world that they may be spending time in."

Albums of Note... Rihanna’s seventh studio album, Unapologetic has been met with a mixed response and our reviewer reckons the Barbadian pop star phoned this one in. As her career becomes more of a marketing cash cow than an artistic endeavour, so her albums impress less and less.

Of course, there is also the ‘elephant’ that seems to appear in every room Rihanna walks into… an elephant known as ‘Chris Brown.’ He makes an appearance on the album, duetting with RhiRhi on a track called ‘Nobody’s Business.’ “Fun: it's something that's lacking a lot in this album, Unapologetic rattling on machine-like but with very little given away to the spirit of enjoyment… She doesn't have to feel apologetic for anything, but what's more concerning is that Rihanna doesn't seem to feel anything anymore, something all too apparent on this turgid LP.”

New Skylar Grey Video ‘C’mon Let Me Ride’ Stars Eminem Doing Auto-Tuned Queen Chorus

Eminem Skylar Grey Queen Rihanna Dr Dre Lupe Fiasco Fort Minor

The new Skylar Grey video of ‘C’mon Let Me Ride’ featuring Eminem is a crash course in a total lack of subtlety. “If you got a sweet tooth/ you can taste my watermelon,” she sings in the opening line… whilst cupping her breast, just in case you didn’t get the joke. Luckily, Skylar’s tongue is well and truly situated in her cheek. Which is pretty much what you’d expect for a song featuring an auto-tuned Eminem singing Queen’s ‘I Like To Ride My Bicycle.’

In fact, if this video was not intended to be comical, we’d all be in trouble: featuring bikini clad girls with three breasts and over-inflated collagen lips, a ridiculously daft but catchy chorus, and footage of Skylar cycling around in a pair of denim cut-offs, on a bicycle adorned with antlers. It's entertainment in its gaudiest, most glorious form.

If you’re wondering who Skylar Grey is, she’s the 26 year-old artist who co-wrote three different versions of ‘Love The Way You Lie,’ made famous by Rihanna and Eminem. She’s also got previous form as a vocalist for Dr Dre, Lupe Fiasco and Fort Minor. She released her debut solo album Like Blood Like Honey back in 2006 and her second Don’t Look Down, is scheduled for a 2013 release. If this latest video’s anything to go by, we reckon Skylar’s going to be one to watch. She certainly seems to have bundles of humour and personality, not to mention talent. Oh and she’s clearly good mates with Eminem. What’s not to like!?

Taylor Swift's Latest Enemy Appears To Be Eminem's Daughter

Eminem Taylor Swift Harry Styles One Direction

We said it, Taylor Swift was always going to get a lot of flack for dating anyone from One Direction. Teenagers world wide proclaim mad and undying love for all the members, but recently she's made apparently made one enemy that the media are interested in: Eminem's daughter.

A Twitter account claiming to be Hailie Scott Matthers unleashed her rage about the predictably named 'Haylor' relationship between Harry Styles and Taylor. The account has since been deleted but according to NY Daily News, her tweets included:

"Dear @taylorswift13, please stop whoring around with every guy you see. We all know you're only doing it so you can make another album."

Another Harry Styles Romance Marred By Threats (This Time It's Eminem's Daughter)

Harry Styles Taylor Swift Eminem

Poor Harry Styles, he can’t seem to get close to anyone without a legion of his female fans rounding on them and warning them off the One Direction man or suffer retribution. 32 year-old Caroline Flack suffered a barrage of abuse when she briefly dated the pop starlet, and now rumors of Styles dating current US chart sensation Taylor Swift has caused similar pouring of ire from his besotted followers.

One particular follower, though, is perhaps more menacing than most. Certainly if Hailie Scott Mathers has picked up any of the homicidal tendencies her father Eminem seemed to suggest he had in his lyrics then Swift should be running scared. Mathers outburst came on Twitter, where she first wrote: “if @taylorswift13 is really dating the love of my life @Harry_Styles i will not be happy.!”

She wasn’t done there, though, and clearly had worked herself up into a bit of a rage as she added: “Dear @taylorswift13, please stop whoring around with every guy you see. We all know you're only doing it so you can make another album.” Oh god, please don’t put her in a boot and drive her off a bridge like your dad might consider, Hailie. Thankfully, the only threat she eventually mustered was: that “I, am never, ever, everrrrr, listening to your music againnnn@taylorswift13. LIKE EVER.” Given 2.2 million odd Americans bought her recent album Red, I doubt the singer will be too concerned about that.

Something From Nothing: The Art Of Rap Trailer

Hip hop has always been more of a culture than just a genre of music. It represents a huge portion of the marginalised world of America and how they managed to create something from nothing; how their lifestyle and previously buried literary talents created a culture that has inspired millions. The frontman of rap/ metal band Body Count Ice-T takes his audience on the road to visit the founding fathers, the major superstars and the rising stars of the rap genre including Afrika Bambaataa, Eminem, Nas, Mos Def, Kanye West, Chuck D, Krs-One, Snoop Dogg, Run-DMC, Dr. Dre and Ice Cube and discover the skill and feeling behind what has made them international music heroes. One of the frequent interviewees is Grandmaster Caz who we are taken to visit on several occasions as he writes a new set of rhymes called 'The Art Of Rap'.

Directed by Ice-T with help from Andy Baybutt, 'Something From Nothing: The Art Of Rap' is a feature length music documentary delving into what goes into making the seminal hip hop records that have dominated music since the late '70s. It came about when producer Paul Toogood asked Ice-T the simplest of question which the star had never before been asked: How did he write seminal tracks such as '6 In The Mornin' and 'Colors'?

Featuring: Common, Ice Cube, Chuck D, Mos Def, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Nas, Kanye West, Darryl McDaniels, KRS-One, Big Daddy Kane

Rihanna And Chris Brown's Nobodies Business Leaks Online (Lyrics)

Rihanna Chris Brown Emeli Sande Eminem David Guetta

Rihanna and Chris Browns' Nobodies Business, which appears on Rhi-Rhi's new studio album Unapologetic, has leaked online. News of the controversial collaboration was first announced after Rihanna uploaded an image of the track-listing for the album earlier this week.

The website HipHop-n-More.com is streaming snippets of the new record while 'Nobodies Business' has also turned up on YouTube. The up-tempo track sees the former couple sharing vocal duties. "Your love is perfection. Just point me in the right direction. I'm a give you all my affection. Whatever we touch becomes infectious," sings Rihanna. The lyrics will certainly leave some of the Bajan star's fans uneasy and on the chorus she sings, "I'm a be your girl. I wanna make you mine and it ain't nobodies business," which kind of speaks for itself. Brown - who was convicted of brutally assaulting Rihanna - sings, "Me and you, ain't nobody's business, no it ain't nobody's business",

The track follows on from their collaborative remixes Birthday Cake and Turn Up The Music, which were unveiled earlier this year. Rihanna's new album Unapologetic - also featuring collaborations with David Guetta, Eminem and Emeli Sande - is released on November 19, 2012.

Who Is Skylar Grey And Why Is Eminem The Executive Producer Of Her Debut Album?

Eminem Skylar Grey Dr Dre Lupe Fiasco

These are the questions we were asking as soon as we found out the news- who on earth is Skylar Grey? And What does she do? Is she a female rapper? Is she the newest, hottest urban artist to hit the world? No. No she's not. But, she does have a really nice voice, which is definitely a good start for a singer.

It's odd that no one knows who she is, because she's done collaborations with Dr Dre, Fort Minor and Lupe Fiasco. She also was part of the writing team for Rihanna and Eminem's 'Love the Way You Lie'. Part of the reason Skylar Grey is so illusive is that for many years she was going under the name 'Holly Brook'- a distinctly more 'grey' name than her Grey name. She will be released a single called 'C'mon Let Me Ride' from her forthcoming album 'Don't Look Down', that was originally going to be called 'Invincible'.

Eminem will be producing 'Don't Look Down' which is set to be released early next year. Grey has become Slim Shady's shadow lately, with multiple collaborations as well as appearing on two tracks from  Slaughterhouse's 'Welcome to: OUR HOUSE', with which Eminem was also heavily involved. MTV quotes her saying: "Eminem's increased involvement has been such a blessing; I'm getting guidance from an artist I really admire and trust," Grey said. "Having written many new songs, the album has become a completely different animal, hence the title change. This new single with Em, in particular, is very exciting. We have worked on so many serious songs together - it's a nice change of pace to do something fun and sarcastic." Well, whoever Skylar Grey is, if Eminem likes her then so do we.

Eminem Readying New Album For 2013

Eminem Dr Dre 50 Cent

Eminem could very well be readying himself to release album number 8 as early as next year, and the clue to its release may very well be found in a piece of merchandise of his.

Earlier this week, Exclaim reported that a ‘baseball tribute hat’ had become available on the rapper's online store, with the side of the hat listing ‘world championship’, or rather album release dates. Starting with 1996's Infinite, the list goes up to 2013, which potentially means that Marshall Mathers is all but done with recording the follow-up to 2010’s Recovery and is just applying the finishing touches already. Em had already discussed his plans to make a new album in the near future during the summer, with the hat further cementing his claims.

He discussed his upcoming work with US radio DJ Whoo Kid, saying at the time he had not yet made any progress thus far, but is planning on sending his stuff over to Dr Dre when he thinks they're done so he can “listen and see what he thinks I'm missing." Producer No ID and fellow rapper 50 Cent have also spoken about the upcoming project and their contribution to it, with 50 saying that he is set to appear on either the album’s “first or second single.”

Ten years after the release of Eminem's '8 Mile', the cast reunited, and took time to pay tribute to the late Brittany Murphy. The American rapper brought together the stars of the film, including Mekhi Phifer, Anthony Mackie, Evan Jones and Omar Benson Miller for a 'Vibe' magazine cover photo. In the attached interview, the cast talk about the 2002 movie, and lovingly remember Murphy who played the role of Eminem's lover.

This statement was then echoed by Evan Jones, who commented "(She was) a really good actress. She brought so much to that role". Mekhi Phifer added, "She was bubbly."

Eminem, Love The Way You Lie Ft. Rihanna Single Review

Eminem brings Rihanna IN on chorus duties on this strange yet effective musical mix. Why strange, well the chorus is very country-esque but ya know what? It works. It tells the heartfelt story of a couple that have gone through hell with each other. They have abused, hit and fought with each other. Yet they tell of how they still love each other in this love hate relationship. It's the haunting chorus that really hits home. 'Jus gonna stand there and watch me burn but that's ok coz I like the way it hurts. Just gonna stand there and here me cry well that's ok coz I love the way that u lie'.

David Gray Warns Of Music Use In Guantanamo Torture

David Gray Eminem Massive Attack Metallica Rage Against The Machine

David Gray has called for greater examination of the playing of loud music - including his own song Babylon - during torture at Guantanamo Bay.

Suspected terrorist detainees are repeatedly subjected to loud music during interrogation at Guantanamo and other US bases with a wide variety of songs used, from heavy metal acts such as Metallica and Rage Against The Machine, to hip-hop stars such as Eminem and Dr Dre to novelty tracks such as the theme song for Barney the dinosaur.

But speaking on BBC Radio 4's World Tonight programme, Gray called for greater public discussion of the matter.

"Only the novelty aspect of this story gets it noticed... Guantanamo greatest hits," he said.

"What we're talking about here is people in a darkened room, physically inhibited by handcuffs, bags over their heads and music blaring at them."

"That is nothing but torture."

He continued: "It doesn't matter what the music is - it could be Tchaikovsky's finest or it could be Barney the Dinosaur.

"It really doesn't matter, it's going to drive you completely nuts.

"No-one wants to even think about it or discuss the fact that we've gone above and beyond all legal process and we're torturing people," he added.

The charity Reprieve, which was associated with the recent Meltdown festival curated by Massive Attack, has created a petition to encourage artists to ban their music being used in the situations discussed by Gray.

Jessica Alba Talks About Awkwardly Meeting Eminem

Jessica Alba Eminem

'Sin City' star Jessica Alba learned to her surprise that she had been name-dropped in an Eminem song, despite only awkwardly bumping into him once at a gym. In the track, Eminem refers to Alba as his "wife-to-be", although the two only know each other because Alba entered a gym where Eminem was training while trying to find a friend of hers; director Bille Woodruff.

Alba explained the strange meeting with the D12 rapper, stating that: "Eminem was in a gym, boxing or something, but I thought my best friend was in there. I come barrelling in all heated because I can't find Bille, and it's like five big dudes, Eminem and an empty gym. Everyone stopped. I was trying to act all casual, looking around this small gym that my best friend obviously wasn't in. Then I just left. That was the only encounter I ever had with him."
