Emma Stone

The battle of equal pay in Hollywood continues to wage, but Emma Stone reveals that she has been inundated with support from male co-stars in her career, many of whom have taken pay cuts so that she can be even with them on the money score.

If only all women were as lucky as Emma Stone. Many actresses have spoken out in protest of the pay discrepancies between men and women in the film and television industry, but men continue to be paid more despite the growing level of strong female leads in Hollywood. Thankfully, Emma's colleagues have her back.

Emma Stone

An American teenager has attempted to invite Hollywood megastar Emma Stone to his school prom by re-creating in detail the opening sequence to La La Land.

17 year old Jacob Staudenmaier re-wrote the words to the movie’s song ‘Another Day of Sun’, and persuaded some of his schoolmates to assist him in trying to persuade the Oscar-winning actress to be his date at his prom.

An aspiring filmmaker himself, he directed and choreographed the two-minute sequence that has since been re-tweeted nearly 2,000 times and generated even more likes since the video surfaced earlier this week.

La La Land Is Heading Into An Oscar Sweep

Emma Stone

The film already ties Titanic and All About Eve for the most nominations ever, with 14. And it could easily equal or better the record of 11 wins for Titanic, The Return of the King and Ben-Hur. Because La La Land has two nominations for Best Song, the most awards it could win is actually 13. And it's currently the favourite to take Picture, Director, Actress (Emma Stone), Cinematography, Editing, Production Design, Score, Song and even Costumes, despite stiff competition from Jackie.

Ryan and Emma in La La LandRyan and Emma in La La Land

So why is this film winning over the Academy's voters? The simple explanation is that it's a movie about show business, and these tend to do well by Oscar (see recent Best Picture winners Argo, The Artist and Birdman). There's the added benefit that most voters haven't been subjected to the hype that has caused a mixed reaction from some critics and audiences (hint: watch it again to see what the fuss is about). La La Land is an energetic, honest and uplifting film about the struggle to make it in Hollywood. That it's also an original movie musical is merely icing on the cake.

Emma Stone Reveals Directors Gave Her Jokes Away To Male Co-Stars

Emma Stone

La La Land star Emma Stone has revealed how directors in Hollywood have given jokes she’s come up with to male actors or routinely dismissed her ideas without thought, in a new interview in which she addresses sexism in the film industry.

In a discussion with Rolling Stone, the popular 28 year old actress spoke about the occasional discrimination she’s faced when dealing with bigwigs in the industry.

“There are times in the past, making a movie, when I’ve been told that I’m hindering the process by bringing up an opinion or an idea,” she revealed. “I hesitate to make it about being a woman, but there have been times when I’ve improvised, they’ve laughed at my joke and then given it to my male co-star. Given my joke away."

"It was the ambition," she says. "What he was going for was really exciting and enticing, because I love the originality of it and what it was paying homage to. It was really cool and interesting to be a part of, and equally scary, because if the tone wasn't cohesive from the smaller scenes into these big Cinemascope musical numbers, I didn't know how it would turn out. But that's also the most exciting thing: equal parts 'Who knows?' and 'Let's do it!'"

Michael Keaton, Emma Stone And Edward Norton Discuss The Filming Of 'Birdman' [Exclusive Featurette]

Michael Keaton Emma Stone Edward Norton Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu

When approaching 'Birdman', director Alejandro González Iñárritu decided that to fully get into the mind-set of his main character, his introspective film would be shot as a continuous piece. Or rather, six continuous pieces that could be stitched together in order to resemble one continuous piece. But when confronted with the monumental task of filming large sections of a motion picture in one sitting, there were certain, fairly obvious challenges to follow even if you had, as actor Michael Keaton describes, "an Academy Award-winning cinematographer who is kind of a genius".

Michael Keaton stars as Riggan Thomas in 'Birdman'

Keaton plays the starring role in 'Birdman', one Riggan Thomson - former superhero movie star, currently attempting to reinvigorate his career by writing, directing and starring in his own Broadway debut. "Everyday was one scene," explained Keaton, "and all the actors were petrified constantly." 'Birdman' boasts a fine cast of actors, including Emma Stone, Edward Norton, Naomi Watts and Zach Galifianakis amongst others, so Keaton's statement has even more resonance.

The cast and crew of 'Birdman' discuss the visionary filming techniques behind the movie in a short featurette. Among them are director, writer and producer Alejandro González Iñárritu, producers John Lesher and James W. Skotchdopole, and stars Michael Keaton, Edward Norton, Emma Stone, Naomi Watts, Zach Galifianakis, Andrea Riseborough and Amy Ryan.

Inarritu explains his initial idea of having the audience see the movie through the eyes of main character Riggan Thomas himself, which resulted in a one-take experience that struck fear in the hearts of the cast who, as Emma reveals, constantly had to be switched on in their roles. We also get a glimpse into the semi-hallucination effects that affect Riggan throughout the movie.

'BiRDMAN (or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)' is released in UK cinemas on 1st January 2015.

Riggan Thomas (Michael Keeton) is faced with a serious problem. In an attempt to make himself appear relevant in the new world following his role as television superhero Birdman twenty years ago, he has written a stage adaptation of sixty-year-old book. But his problem is, that the actor hired to star in the production has dropped out. The plays producer, Jake (Zach Galifianakis) is in the process of explaining how much trouble they are in, when Lesley (Naomi Watts) explains that her lover, the famous Mike Shiner (Edward Norton) is ready and willing to step into the role.

The filmmaker has spoken of his pride towards his latest venture but has also revealed that this was tinged with uneasiness surrounding the rather soporific surroundings. "This one's set in Nice in the 1920s. I have a great cameraman, terrific art director, but finding locations was hard. We had to travel around, do selective shooting to re-create primitive spots like in the old days," the director told the NY Post's Page Six.

Whatever Happened To Shailene Woodley's Scenes In "The Amazing Spider-Man 2?"

Shailene Woodley Andrew Garfield Emma Stone

Have you seen The Amazing Spider-Man 2? Noticed something missing from The Amazing Spider-Man 2? People on the internet have – Mary Jane Watson did not feature in a single scene, despite the fact that there was an actress, cast for the role. Shailene Woodley, the rising young actress with lead roles in Divergent and The Fault in Our Stars even shot her scenes as MJ, but by the time the film was released, they had ended up on the cutting room floor. Or, more likely, at the bottom of some tired film editor’s hard drive.

Shailene Woodley
Woodley did "a couple days of great work" on the film, but her scenes just didn't fit in with the story.

Besides a few pap shots of Woodley with long red hair, it seems like her turn as MJ is lost forever. But why? According to director Marc Webb and producer Matt Tolmach, speaking for The LA Times, it had nothing to do with her performance – in fact, Woodley did a great job. The decision to cut her scenes was just made to devote more screen time to the relationship between Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy.

The CGI used looks to be the most impressive of all Spider-Man movies so far (including the unceremoniously halted McGuire movies). The trailer doesn’t have the darkness of recent superhero movies, Peter Parker isn’t brooding and troubled like Nolan’s The Dark Knight or Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel. “You know what it is I love about being Spider-Man?” Garfield asks as the trailer opens, “Everything.”

What The Latest Trailer Tells Us About 'Amazing Spider-Man 2'

Andrew Garfield Emma Stone Jamie Foxx

At nearly four minutes long, the latest trailer for Amazing Spider-Man 2 packed in as much action as the Superbowl when the full length version finally debuted on Sunday. The clip has given us some answers along with more questions, plenty of gasps and even a few laughs as we prepared for the latest Spider-Man instalment. So here’s what we learnt from the Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer.

Andrew Garfield as Spider-ManAndrew Garfield as Spider-Man finds a new enemy in Electro

What does Peter Parker love about being Spider-Man? Everything.
Maybe he’s speaking too soon, but while sitting, looking out on New York we hear Peter Parker say, "you know what it is I love about being Spider-Man? Everything.” Whilst job satisfaction is usually a good thing you cant help but worry about what’s to come for our geeky hero.

Superheroes get the worst groupies.
You’d expect Spider-Man to have to deal with his fair share of hero worshippers, but after saving Max Dillon, played by the fantastic Jamie Foxx, Spider-Man is left with the most fanatical of all fanboys who not only worships the masked hero but is heard repeating. “I wish I was like him.” Which leads us into…

The shock of Electro.
It doesn't take that long for Max Dillion’s wish to be more like his hero to come true, but not in the way he'd of hoped. The birth of Electro is revealed as we see Foxx’s character falling into a pool of water brimming with electric eels. He then takes his frustration out on a crowded Times Square and comes face to face with his former hero and now nemesis, Spider-Man.

"What's your favorite Woody Allen movie? Before you answer, you should know: when I was seven years old, Woody Allen took me by the hand and led me into a dim, closet-like attic on the second floor of our house," writes Dylan. "He told me to lay on my stomach and play with my brother's electric train set. Then he sexually assaulted me."

Forbes' Most Lucrative Stars List - Women Dominate Yet Inequality Is Still Rife

Emma Stone Mila Kunis Jennifer Lawrence

Emma Stone sits proudly atop the Forbes list of best value Hollywood stars with a return of $80 per $1 invested in her. Mila Kunis, Jennifer Lawrence and Natalie Portman behind her in a list dominated by young female actors. But are women only dominating this list due to inequality in Hollywood?

Emma StoneEmma Stone is officially the most lucrative actor, according to Forbes

Stone appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man, which was the biggest reason for her topping the list. The superhero film earned $750m, but it was Stone’s comparatively low wage for the film that garnered the lucrative ratio. If she’d been on par with some of the male actors in the film, that stat woudn’t have been so ‘attractive’.

New, Grainy Footage Of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Leaks Online [Video]

Spider Man Andrew Garfield Jamie Foxx Paul Giamatti Emma Stone

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be released in cinemas in the spring of 2014, and up to now we've hardly seen any sneak peaks from behind the scenes of the movie, that's until now of course. Footage from the first trailer for the film has made it's way online, taken from a sneaky Comic-Con goer who managed to film the whole thing on his phone (and judging by the quality of the video, he was either sat all the way at the back of the convention room, or has a lousy camera).

Andrew Garfield On A Gay Spiderman: "That's Just Not Going To Work"

Andrew Garfield Emma Stone Jamie Foxx Michael B. Jordan

Andrew Garfield has progressive ideas for Spiderman. Earlier this month, the British-American star mused on the idea of Spidey turning gay, "Why can't we discover that Peter is exploring his sexuality? It's hardly even groundbreaking!" he said, in conversation with Entertainment Weekly.

The comic-book characters certainly need to move in fresh directions, whether it be time, place, or something more specific to the characters, such as gender, race or sexual orientation. The Avengers moved forward a little, the Dark Knight franchise featured giant strides for Batman, and - to some extent - The Wolverine pushed things on with its Japanese setting.

This week at San Diego Comic-Con, Garfield revisited his ideas though assured the crowd that Spiderman will not be turning gay anytime soon.

'Amazing Spider-Man 2' Teaser Launched: First Look At Jamie Foxx As Creepy Electro [Video]

Jamie Foxx Andrew Garfield Emma Stone Paul Giamatti

A chilling teaser clip has been released ahead of the release of Spider-Man 2 showing new villain Electro played by Jamie Foxx. Comic-Con fans got the first glimpse of the scary new baddie this weekend, in a clip that shows Electro AKA Max Dillon attached to the machine that bestows him with his unique electrical super powers. We see wires, we see pipes, we hear a menacingly rasping voice taking to an unknown off-screen character "I can feel it in the walls," he says. "I feel it in my veins. No matter what you do doc, you can't contain it. "You wanna know how powerful I am? Well I would love to. I'm Electro!" Not exactly original for any action movie bad guy but still, chills.

Jamie Foxx
Jamie Foxx Making His Spider-Man Debut As Electro.

At a first - and very brief glance - Jamie Foxx's Electro does look like an electrocuted version The Da Vinci Code's self-flagellating sect member Silas and his portrayal of the originally green-suited, yellow-masked zappmeister is somewhat darker than Marvel Comics probably would have intended. However, the Django Unchained actor's version of Electro is one that fits more closely with Marvel's Ultimate Universe, where the character's powers are a product of bioengineering, rather than a freak accident.

'The Amazing Spider-Man 3 & 4' Are On Their Way As Andrew Garfield Signs Up For Two More Spidey Films

Andrew Garfield Paul Giamatti Emma Stone Jamie Foxx Spider Man

Andrew Garfield has committed himself to the Amazing Spider-Man movie franchise by agreeing to appear in a further two films with Sony Pictures. The production company announced the franchise's expansion into four movies in a statement release on Monday (June 17), although no other information was released about the film, so feel free to let your imagination run wild.

Garfield is going to go one further than Tobey Maguire did in his turn as Spiderman and the actor is already filming the finishing touches for the second Amazing Spider-Man film, which is due out in May next year. The studio also announced that the films will be released in relatively quick succession, just as the second film is swiftly wrapping up with filming. The studio announced that the third and fourth instalments of the film will be release on June 10, 2016, and May 4, 2018 respectively.

Before we can begin to think about the third and fourth films, let take the time to relish what we have in store when The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is released. Garfield's Spidey has all kinds of trouble to deal with this time round, with his personal problems going to heck when Peter Parker's other love interest, Mary Jane Watson (Shailene Woodley) shows up, much to the displeasure of Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy. If his personal life wasn't hectic enough, there's two baddies around this time for him to battle, with Paul Giamatti playing a gangster-fied version of Rhino and Jamie Foxx set to send sparks flying as Electro. The fittingly named Marc Webb will return to direct too.

'The Amazing Spider Man 2' filming continued to get underway in New York on Sunday (May 26th 2013) leaving behind it a trail of destruction on the City streets.

A particularly devastating scene was spotted being filmed, with a mass of crashed, overturned and ablaze vehicles littering the set. Andrew Garfield was in his Spider Man garb as he addressed onlookers from atop a smashed up car through a loudspeaker. He is also seen approaching a young boy in a copycat outfit who, after what looks like a pep talk with Peter Parker's alter-ego, subsequently flees the riotous scene. The scene is the latest of on set sneak peeks that have slowly been accumulating after snaps emerged of 'Django Unchained' star Jamie Foxx showing off his new look as the blue villain Electro and Paul Giamatti from 'Cinderella Man' making a fierce appearance as equally evil baddie The Rhino. Meanwhile, Emma Stone has revealed a MAJOR spoiler about her own character (though we won't reveal it for those who haven't read the prophetic comics).

Emma Stone, Colin Firth Heading To France For Woody Allen Comedy

Emma Stone Woody Allen Colin Firth

Emma Stone and Colin Firth will star in Woody Allen's latest movie - a currently untitled comedy set to shoot in the South of France this summer. It will mark Allen's second time shooting in France - following the excellent Midnight in Paris - and his eighth movie set in Europe, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Though the plot of the move is still under wraps, the cast and crew offer a hint of what the film may look like. Allen's longtime associated Letty Aronson and Stephen Tenebaum will produce, while Midnight in Paris and To Rome With Love cinematographer and production designer, Darius Khondji and Anne Seibel also return to work with Allen.

Emma Stone has emerged as one of the most sought after actresses in Hollywood, following turns in Crazy Stupid Love, The Help and The Amazing Spider-Man. She is currently shooting the sequel to the latter. Oscar winner Firth has no less than six movies currently in some sort of production, including World War II drama The Railway Man, with Nicole Kidman and Alexander Skarsgard.

Jamie Foxx Has Got The Blues As Electro In 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2'

Jamie Foxx Andrew Garfield Emma Stone Chris Cooper Dane DeHaan Paul Giamatti Felicity Jones

Everyone got a glimpse of Jamie Foxx as Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in some newly released pictures from the set of the movie.

In the stills, Foxx is seen wearing creepy blue makeup and a grey hood. This means that the movie will significantly deviate from the original version of the villain, which was portrayed wearing a bright green suit with a yellow lightning mask. According to the LA Times, this portrayal of Electro will more closely resemble his Ultimate incarnation, which also has a different backstory – being the result of genetic experimentation, instead of a power line accident. It isn’t clear yet how much of the back story the producers plan to keep, but Foxx did give the reasons behind the choice of costume in an interview with Blackfilm back in December: “They want to have it more grounded and not as comic book-y, so it won’t be green and yellow,” he said. “They want to try new things, like a liquid rubber and things like that, and there are all these bolts and stuff in my arms when they are hanging me upside down and trying to figure out what happen [sic]. How did he become this way? So, it will be some new stuff.”

Sounds pretty cool to us. The sequel to the 2012 film is due in May of next year and, as previously announced, Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone will be reprising their roles. Additionally, Shailene Woodley will join the cast as Mary Jane Watson, Chris Cooper and Dane DeHaan as Norman Osborn and his son Harry, Paul Giamatti reportedly as villain the Rhino, and Colm Feore and Felicity Jones in roles yet to be announced.

Rachel McAdams Joins Cameron Crowe Movie: Is It The New 'Jerry Maguire'?

Rachel McAdams Cameron Crowe Bradley Cooper Emma Stone

Rachel McAdams is in negotiations to join Cameron Crowe's still untitled movie, about a military contractor on a top-secret mission in Hawaii. Bradley Cooper plays the contractor who is teamed with an Air Force pilot, played by Emma Stone. According to Deadline, the film tonally falls somewhere between "Almost Famous" and "Jerry Maguire."

McAdams has signed on for an interesting year - she stars in Terrence Malik's new movie To The Wonder, which looks bizarre, and will feature alongside Noomi Rapace in Brian De Palma's B-movie 'Passion'. Oh, and there's also Anton Corbijn's thriller A Most Wanted Man, which should land on the festival circuit this year. One thing's for sure, McAdams has told her agent that she wants to make arthouse movies.

Cameron Crowe is working with producer Scott Rudin on the new film, which they are making with Sony Pictures. Crowe wrote the script himself and is looking to start principal photography at the beginning of October. The movie should be out midway through 2014, all ready for awards season. By the time it hits theaters, three years will have passed since Crowe's last directorial out, 'We Bought A Zoo'. That movie starred Matt Damon as a father who moves his young family to the countryside to renovate and re-open a struggling zoo, with the help of one Ms Scarlett Johansson. It garnered mixed reviews from critics.

The Croods

This week's big global release is the DreamWorks animated prehistoric comedy-adventure The Croods, led by an all-star vocal cast including Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone and Ryan Reynolds. Look for a huge push for must-have spin-off merchandise for this one, as it's packed with cuddly creatures. And hope it does well at the box office, because it would make a great franchise too.

Doing the publicity rounds this week, Gerard Butler has been out promoting his new White House thriller Olympus Has Fallen. Flitting between New York and Los Angeles to appear on every chat show possible, it's no wonder that he was somewhat fed-up by the time he reached David Letterman's Manhattan studio. Of course, the paparazzi caught it on camera as he lost his patience with a fan trying to get multiple autographs. But he manages to recovers his usual charm.

The Croods Review

Excellent

Cleverly blending a rebellious teen comedy with an animated prehistoric adventure, this witty film wins us over with sharp characters who are written, voiced and drawn with plenty of personality. It may be yet another hyperactive, silly romp, but the attention to detail is extraordinary, and the rather overfamiliar message is genuinely inspiring.

The Crood family has survived the primordial chaos because dad Grug (Cage) keeps them in a constant state of fear, never letting them out of the cave after dark. There's just too much out there that wants to eat them! But teen daughter Eep (Stone) is restless to explore the world. Her mum Ugga (Keener) has her hands full tending to feral baby Sandy (Thom), lunkheaded pre-teen brother Thunk (Duke) and feisty Gran (Leachman), so Eep sneaks out in the middle of the night. There she meets Guy (Reynolds), a slightly more evolved human who has mastered fire and has what sound like radical ideas about survival. Grog is not happy about this at all. But when the world starts shifting around them, he has little choice but to allow his family to follow this new kid into what is clearly certain death.

Only of course, this being a comical cartoon, we know they'll all be fine, even though most of their adventures are seriously perilous. Filmmakers De Micco (Space Chimps) and Sanders (How to Train Your Dragon) create a lavishly imagined world of mash-up creatures that seem like lost links in the evolutionary chain. Gigantic predatory kittens, mouse-sized elephants, crocodile puppies and walking whales are not only hilarious, but they make us want to buy a plush version all our own. In other words, the film is a riot of marketing possibilities, including the promise of a long-running franchise.

Movie 43 Review

Weak

A collection of random shorts that focus mainly on idiotic male behaviour, this portmanteau comedy is only occasionally amusing, never making anything of its astonishing cast. Frankly, we spend most of the time wondering how the filmmakers lured these A-listers to appear in these pointless, nasty little films. And while the premises have potential, not a single one has a decent punchline.

As a prank, two teens make up a banned online film called Movie 43. While their brainly little brother searches for it, he runs across a series of clips that mainly focus on awkward vulgarity between the sexes. Bitter exes (Culkin and Stone) have a rude exchange that's broadcast on a supermarket sound system. Pratt is shocked when his girlfriend (Faris) asks him to "poop" on her, and agrees because he loves her. Parents (Watts and Schreiber) homeschool their teen son (White) with the goal of showing him how excruciating life will be. Two pals (Scott and Knoxville) kidnap a leprechaun (Butler) who's reluctant to give them his gold. And a 1950s basketball coach (Howard) tries to convince his players that they're winners because they're black.

Others are dating scenarios: Winslet goes on a blind date with a guy (Jackman) who has testicles on his neck; Berry and Merchant play an increasingly deranged game of Truth or Dare in a Mexican restaurant; a pre-teen (Bennett) can't cope when his young date (Moretz) has her first period; Batman (Sudeikis) messes up Robin's (Long) attempt at speed-dating; Banks struggles to cope with her new boyfriend's (Duhamel) obsessive cartoon cat. There are also a few random advert spoofs, including one for the naked-woman shaped iBabe, which leads to trouble for the company CEO (Gere).

Gangster Squad Review

Very Good

This may be based on a true story, but the filmmakers never bother exploring the complexities of historical events, instead opting for a comic book-style approach that's entertaining but somewhat unsatisfying. Still, this style-over-substance approach at least produces a rollicking police thriller that's often a lot of fun to watch, packed with gifted actors who gleefully chomp through the scenery.

The setting is 1949 Los Angeles, where the notorious gangster Mickey Cohen (Penn) is launching a Chicago-style mob takeover of the city. The police chief (Nolte) is determined to stop him, but feels surrounded by corruption, so he hires straight-arrow detective John (Brolin) to head up a secret squad that will operate off the books to stop Cohen, whatever it takes. John's pregnant wife (Enos) isn't thrilled by this, but she helps him select his team: techie Conway (Ribisi), gunslinger Max (Patrick), hot-shot Coleman (Mackie) and quick-learning rookie Navidad (Pena). And then there's pretty-boy detective Jerry (Gosling), who courts danger by launching a fling with Mickey's moll Grace (Stone). Understandably, their task doesn't go smoothly.

Billed as the untold story of what really happened, the film ignores quite a few key facts while indulging in implausible plotting and overly colourful characterisations. In other words, it's impossible to believe anything we're watching, which eliminates all of the relevance and resonance that could have filled this story of police corruption, out-of-control capitalism and especially the use of illegal methods to do the right thing. Instead, the film is all shiny surfaces, with flashy production design, too-immaculate costumes and haircuts, and a plot that reduces a complex situation into a simplistic action movie narrative.

Emma Stone Stays Silent As Sex Tape Rumors Refuse To Go Away

Emma Stone Kim Kardashian Paris Hilton

Emma Stone is remaining silent on reports that a sex tape featuring herself and an old boyfriend exists. According to RadarOnline.com, the tape is yet to be shopped around and is still in possession of her former flame.

Celebrities usually like to nip these things in the bud - even when the rumors turn out to be true - but Stone is remaining completely silent. Similar in its methods to TMZ.com, RadarOnline.com is often on the mark with its scoops and the website quotes an 'insider' who says, "Emma Stone has a sex tape and that's a fact. She made it long before she started dating Andrew Garfield and before she really became a household name. She was just young and probably thought nothing would ever come of it." The source is close enough to Stone to know that she does not want the sex tape to emerge as it could damage her blossoming Hollywood career. "Emma's really happy with her career and proud of where she is," the source said. There's no way she would organize the release of the tape; in fact, she would fight to stop it. She has no respect for women like Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton who became famous because they released a sex tape."

Of course, sex-tapes pretty much started the careers of both Kardashian and Hilton, making them millions in the process. The difference is, both were socialites and nothing more: Stone is an award winning actress with a ton of movies in the pipeline.

Emma Stone's Sex Tape Does Not Feature Andrew Garfield

Emma Stone Andrew Garfield Stephen Merchant Richard Gere

Emma Stone's alleged sex-tape does not feature her Amazing Spider-Man co-star and current boyfriend Andrew Garfield. RadarOnline.com previously reported how a home video of the Easy A star was in existence, though the website claims her beau Garfield is nowhere to be seen.

Stone, 24, is said to have "a wild streak that has culminated itself in the form of a homemade sex romp". Hmm. Radar even quote a source privy to the clip, who says, "Emma Stone has a sex tape and that's a fact. She made it long before she started dating Andrew Garfield and before she really became a household name. She was just young and probably thought nothing would ever come of it." The good news for the actress is that the tape is yet to be shopped around and "remains in the hands of the person she made it with." However, the source warns, "but that doesn't mean there's any guarantee that it won't eventually hit the market. The higher Emma's star rises, the more valuable that tape becomes."

Though it's worked pretty well for Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton, the release of a tape would likely hinder Stone's promising Hollywood career. In fact, an insider said, "There's no way she would organize the release of the tape; in fact, she would fight to stop it." The actress next stars in comedy Movie 43, alongside Stephen Merchant and Richard Gere.

Movie 43 Trailer

If you were hoping for a romantic comedy with a harmless storyline, romance and inoffensive jokes, the here's a warning: read no further. 'Movie 43' is one of the most cringe-worthy and uncensored taboo-filled flicks to be released in the history of comedy. Here you will see several interlinked stories with characters' lives surrounding unusual proposals, interrupting blind kids' parties, bad parenting, teenage menstruation, a confused and slightly racist basketball coach, innovative business ideas and the kidnapping of a violent leprechaun. Once you see this movie it is unlikely you will find a subject that offends you ever again.

With twelve different comedy genius directors including Peter Farrelly ('Dumb & Dumber', 'There's Something About Mary', 'Shallow Hal'), Steve Carr ('Daddy Day Care', 'Dr Dolittle 2'), Steven Brill ('Little Nicky') and Brett Ratner ('Rush Hour') to name but a few and eight different writers, this jaw-droppingly crude and often obscene movie features a diverse star-studded cast, both British and American, who have banded together to shock you in the most hilarious ways you can think of. Whatever kind of comedy you're into, 'Movie 43' probably has something in it for everyone and it is set to hit the big screen on February 1st 2012.

As big movies like Skyfall and Argo open in the USA and UK respectively, it's the smaller titles that are getting the most attention. Now the public gets a chance to see it.

In London, the stars turned out this week for the premiere of Gambit, a remake of the 1966 heist comedy. The film's stars Colin Firth, Cameron Diaz, Alan Rickman and Tom Courtenay were on hand both for the red carpet premiere and a meet-the-filmmakers event at London's Apple Store.

Meanwhile, Helen Mirren has been doing Q&As in London for her new film Hitchcock, in which she plays Alma Reville, wife of Alfred Hitchcock (Anthony Hopkins). The movie traces the making of Psycho with Janet Leigh (Scarlett Johansson), Vera Miles (Jessica Biel) and Anthony Perkins (James D'Arcy). A new trailer makes it look like a lot of fun. Jamie Foxx is set to give another electric performance (sorry) in the upcoming sequel to The Amazing Spiderman, as the superhero's nemesis, Electro, Variety reports.

According to sources, Foxx is deep into discussions to play the role, and tweeted, "Dressed up as Electro for Halloween last night. Costume fits well," which won't have served to dampen any rumours, that's for sure. Much like Spiderman, who of course was bitten by a radioactive spider, Electro harnesses the power of electricity due a close encounter with a lighting bolt. You would have thought the pair might bond over their shared experiences, but no. Talking yesterday to Coming Soon, the aptly named director Marc Webb said, "I think Jamie Foxx is electrifying!" and added, "I think Jamie Foxx is one of the best actors around today. He's such a great character actor and he's a really brilliant guy. I would love to work with him and you'll be hearing more on that shortly, I'm sure." Now he didn't move to confirm the rumours, but if we don't see Foxx terrorising and Spiderman coming to the rescue, we'll be disappointed.

In the interview, Webb also added his admiration for Electro in particular. "I like Electro," he smiled. "I'm fascinated by Norman Osborn and the different inflections of him. And Harry. Mary Jane and Gwen are always interesting to me."

The Croods - Trailer Trailer

The Croods are a prehistoric family of six who have always lived by patriarch Grug's rule of never venturing out of the cave they call a home. While his wife Ugga, his mother-in-law Gran, his son Thunk and his baby Sandy all stand by his wishes, his eldest daughter Eep becomes restless as her curiosity for what the outside world might be like overwhelms her despite her father's brutal warnings. Giving in to temptation, Eep sneaks out to explore and, to her father's terror, almost gets crushed in an avalanche caused by an earthquake which destroys their home. No-one is hurt; on the contrary, a whole new land is discovered filled with vibrant vegetation and exotic creatures. Homeless and with no excuse to avoid investigating, the family set out on a journey into this new world, with Grug still feeling profoundly reluctant.

This animation adventure is a wonderful story of family, discovery and bravery directed and written by the geniuses of several lovable CGI movies, Kirk De Micco ('Space Chimps', 'Racing Stripes') and Chris Sanders ('Lilo & Stitch', 'How to Train Your Dragon'). Not only is it heart-warming to watch, but you'll also never go long without laughing whatever your age. It will hit UK cinemas from March 22nd 2013.

Starring: Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds, Catherine Keener, Clark Duke & Cloris Leachman.

The Amazing Spider Man Review

Very Good
Just 10 years after Sam Raimi's now-iconic Spider-man, Marvel has decided to tell the character's origin story again, using a slightly different mythology. The main difference is the presence of appropriately named director Marc Webb, whose last film was the imaginative romantic-comedy (500) Days of Summer. Sure enough, the interpersonal drama is the best thing about this reboot. Much less successful is the action storyline, which feels awkwardly forced into the film to justify its blockbuster status.

A huge asset here is gifted lead actor Andrew Garfield, who takes on the role of Peter Parker with real passion. Peter is a 17-year-old science nerd in high school who has real depth due to his personal history. Growing up in New York with his aunt and uncle (Field and Sheen) after his parents disappeared, he's more than a little unsettled when the object of his secret crush, sexy-brainy Gwen (Stone), notices him. Meanwhile, he's bitten by a mutant spider and develops some strange powers, which he exercises by chasing down bad guys all over the city.

Friends With Benefits Review

Good
A smart, witty script and a likable cast help overcome the deep-seated rom-com cliches the filmmakers set out to deconstruct. But the central couple's strong chemistry and a stream of lively side characters keep us involved and entertained.

After a humiliating breakup, Dylan (Timberlake) meets with high-achieving headhunter Jamie (Kunis) about a new job. Friendship blossoms, and since Jamie is emotionally damaged after a recent split and Dylan is emotionally unavailable, they decide to sleep together without any deeper attachment.

Meanwhile, they get increasingly involved in each others' lives, most notably as Dylan and his sister (Elfman) cope with their senile father (Jenkins). Of course, the main question is whether Dylan and Jamie can remain friends even if they have sex.
