If you haven't already heard, Emma Watson is rumoured to be dating Prince Harry. Yes lets take a moment to process this, Hermione Granger’s rumoured real life boyfriend is fourth in line to the British throne. The claim was first made by Australian magazine Woman’s Day last week and was then was quickly spread all over the internet, before anyone bothered to wonder if the story actually sounded believable or not.

According to the magazine, Harry asked the actress out via email after she split with previous boyfriend Matthew Janney in December of last year. The actress was then said to have met with the prince along with a group of 12 friends and they’re now reported to have been meeting up in secret ever since.

Explaining their first ‘date’, the magazine quotes an unnamed ‘insider’ as saying “Harry didn't want her to feel like she was put on the spot. A party also shows he’s fun and not stuffy.”

“He’s smitten – and it’s more than Emma’s looks,” the ‘insider’ also added.

The 30 year old prince is thought to be single at the moment, after splitting with girlfriend Cressida Bonas in April last year following a two-year relationship. Previously, Harry was known to be in a long term relationship with Chelsy Davy which ended in 2010.

Of course the internet and in particular twitter, took this one and ran with it, coming up with a variety of witty reactions to the idea of Watson dating the other famous Harry.

‘Emma Watson is dating Prince Harry! Despite JK Rowling's best efforts, Hermione is finally hooking up with Harry!’ wrote one user. While another added, 'I hope Prince Harry and Emma Watson last because if they have a son, it will be the half-blood prince.’

Of course Watson herself hasn't commented on the rumours and a spokeswoman for Clarence House told the Daily Mail, ’Prince Harry's private life is private. We would not confirm or deny that.’

But even if Emma isn't actually any closer to becoming actual royalty one day, the actress will soon be playing a Disney princess on the big screen. Yes Watson’s next role sees her as Belle in a remake of classic tale Beauty and the Beast.

The actress excitedly announced the news via her Facebook page last month writing, ”I'm finally able to tell you that I will be playing Belle in Disney's new live-action Beauty and the Beast! It was such a big part of my growing up, it almost feels surreal that I'll get to dance to (songs) 'Be Our Guest' and sing 'Something There’.”

“My six year old self is on the ceiling - heart bursting. Time to start some singing lessons. I can't wait for you to see it,” the actress added.
