Church has been nominated for Entertainer of the Year, Single of the Year (for ‘Talladega’), Song of the Year (‘Like A Wrecking Ball’), Male Vocalist of the Year and Musical Event of the Year (‘Raise ‘Em Up’ with Keith Urban).

Church will be competing against Little Big Town in the Single of the Year category, for which they are nominated for ‘Girl Crush’. They are also nominated in the same category for Musical Event of the Year for their collaboration with Miranda Lambert, ‘Smokin’ and Drinkin’.

Little Big Town are also nominated for Album of the Year, Vocal Group of the Year and Musical Video of the Year.

There may be one or two uncomfortable moments at this year’s ceremony as Lambert and Blake Shelton, who recently announced their separation, are competing in the same category: Musical Event of the Year. Lambert, nominated for her performance with ‘Little Big Town’, is up against Shelton’s ‘Lovely Tonight’ featuring Ashley Monroe

Lambert is also nominated for Entertainer, Female Vocalist and Music Video with ‘Little Red Wagon’. She has four nominations, the same number as Kenney Chesney (Entertainer, Single, Album and Musical Event).

The ceremony is due to be held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on 4th November. The show, hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, will be broadcast live on ABC.
