Evangeline Lilly's pregnancy has prevented her from wearing her Wasp superhero suit.

The 35-year-old actress showed the world her baby bump for the first time in June at the premiere of the 'Ant-Man' film, in which she plays Hope Van Dyne.

At the end of the Marvel movie Michael Douglas' character Hank Pym unveils a new shrinking suit for Hope, his daughter, to turn her into Ant-Man's tiny sidekick Wasp.

Although Evangeline's body was scanned to create the suit, she's not been able to slip into the skin-tight outfit due to her ever-growing baby bump.

When asked by a fan on Facebook if she'd had a chance to try out the suit yet, the brunette beauty replied: ''I was scanned for #TheWasp suit, but then I got pregnant. Let's hope I fit it again! #ineedtime! (sic)''

Ant-Man - played by Paul Rudd - is due to appear in 'Captain America: Civil War' but it is not yet known if Evangeline will appear in the sequel, due for release in May 2016.

Evangeline already has a four-year-old son, Kahekili, with long-term boyfriend Norman Kali.

It is not yet clear when she is due to give birth, or if she knows the gender of her unborn tot.

The brunette beauty previously admitted she loved being pregnant with Kahekili.

She said: ''What I wanted originally was six kids. I frickin' love being pregnant. I'm one of the lucky women who just had a blissful pregnancy.''
