Ed and Lorraine Warren are top paranormal investigators who popularly solved the case of the Bathsheba possession in 'The Conjuring'. Among their collection of supernatural objects was an eerie, old fashioned doll named Annabelle that the Warren's warned everyone against touching. Now she makes a return having been unwittingly picked up by one man, on his wife's request, to place in the bedroom of their expected child. Soon though, his wife is woken in the night by screaming across the street and gets him to go and check it out. Meanwhile, as she anxiously awaits his return, two bloodstained knife-wielding individuals have somehow managed to enter the house both seemingly very attached to her new doll. As this woman and her husband try desperately to escape these dangerous individuals, secrets about the doll begin to quickly unfold.
'Annabelle' is the chilling spin-off to 2013 horror 'The Conjuring' based on the terrifying doll in Ed and Lorraine Warren's possession. What makes this tale even more creepy is the fact that it's allegedly based on a true story - though the real doll was significantly less creepy. The movie has been directed by John R. Leonetti ('The Butterfly Effect 2', 'Mortal Kombat: Annihilation') and co-written by Gary Dauberman ('Bloodmonkey', 'Swamp Devil'). It is due to be released on October 10th 2014.
