The band join Radiohead on this year’s bill at Worthy Farm.
Foo Fighters have been confirmed as this year’s Glastonbury headliners, two years after being forced to pull out of the festival when singer Dave Grohl broke his leg.
The band will headline the festival’s Saturday night, with Radiohead already confirmed to top the bill on the Friday and the Sunday headliner yet to be revealed.

The announcement was made on Friday night, during a "secret" gig at the Cheese and Grain pub in Frome, Somerset, with Glastonbury organisers Michael Eavis and Emily Eavis in attendance.
“We’re incredibly lucky to have the Foo Fighters headlining on the Saturday night this year,” Emily Eavis said. “It was obviously devastating when they had to pull out in 2015 - and the thought, effort and generosity they’ve put into this announcement is just unbelievable.”
The band had been teasing fans all week that some big news was coming, including sending out boarding cards for Obelisk Airlines featuring pyramid symbols and a mysterious countdown appearing on their website.
Eavis added: “I’m so happy that we’ve been able to help shine a light on Somerset’s local music scene by having one of the world’s biggest bands play in Frome.
“The Cheese and Grain is a wonderful, not-for-profit venue, which I’m very proud to be a patron of, and it was our first suggestion when the band asked where might be good to do a secret show. They’ve certainly put it on the map now.”
While the Sunday night headliner is yet to be revealed, Ed Sheeran is hotly tipped to take the slot. The singer returned to the charts earlier this year with singles 'Shape of You' and ‘Castle on the Hill’ and releases new album ÷ (divide) next month.
