A Fox News anchor was caught dancing on camera. Tia Ewing decided to let loose during a commercial break on Fox 40 but didn’t realise that the cameras were rolling when she started busting a few moves to Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies.’ With a tablet computer in one hand, she started bumping and grinding to the popular song, making a point of holding up her ring finger when it got to the line “if you liked it then you should have put a ring on it.”

In an on-air segment, later on, Ewing explained to her co-workers “I gotta get it where I can get it. I just didn’t know the camera was rolling,” Huffington Post report. You can watch the footage below and have a laugh at the moment where she realises that maybe she shouldn’t be dancing any more and switches to newsreader mode, making sure her hair is back in place. It’s good to know that even our serous newsreaders know how to let their hair down and have a bit of fun (even if Tia didn’t realise the cameras were still on her, in this case).

It’s certainly more reassuring than the antics of some other newsreaders, such as Diane Sawyer, who appeared to have over-indulged on alcohol on US election night earlier this year. If you’re going to be hitting the headlines as a news anchor and it’s not for delivering a scoop, it may as well be for executing some nifty dance moves. Good work, Tia, we say!
