British singer Foxes has been offered to open for Pharrell Williams after covering his huge hit 'Happy.'

The 25 year-old mashed together the track with Massive Attack's Teardrop to create a subdued, gloomy sounding version on Radio 1 in March.

The cover was met with huge praise, and after the 41 year-old managed to give it a listen, he contacted Foxes to propose the new opportunity.

"He heard it and invited me on his tour," Foxes told the BBC. "Apparently that's how it came about."

Foxes is now the opening act on 25 dates of Pharrell's upcoming European tour, which includes two sold-out shows at London's O2 Arena.

"It will be the biggest venues I've played," she continued. "I've played the O2 before [as a guest vocalist for] Rudimental. But to be able to do my own set will be other-worldly."

Although Foxes admitted that it would be "great" to collaborate with the 'Marilyn Monroe' singer, she did said "but I won't badger him."

Adding, "It's just amazing to be going on tour with such an incredible artist. His music has gone worldwide."

The Southampton-born songstress, who saw her debut album 'Glorious' chart at No.5 in UK, isn't only just a talented singer, she can also act and will be seen this summer in the new series of Doctor Who, in a role that requires her to sing.

"If I was just going on with an acting role, it wouldn't be the same," she said. "To be able to do what I love on the show is a good mix".

The 'Let Go For Tonight' couldn't say much on the upcoming series, but she did joke about the speculation that is surrounding her role.
