The musician passed away in a nursing home in Allendale, New Jersey on 9 November (16).

Caiola worked as a studio musician in the 1950s, before signing a record deal in 1960. He released several solo projects, including versions of The Magnificent Seven and Bonanza themes.

He also worked with several other big name artists, including Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Johnny Mathis, Simon and Garfunkel, Rosemary Clooney, Buddy Holly, and Tony Bennett.
