Singer Gabrielle Aplin has scored her first U.K. number one with a cover of Frankie Goes To Hollywood's The Power Of Love.

The newcomer's debut track - which features on a holiday advertisement for British department store John Lewis - knocked Olly Murs' Troublemaker from the top spot, tumbling into third place behind Bruno Mars' Locked Out of Heaven at two.

However, it wasn't all bad for Murs - he remained atop the U.K. albums countdown for a second week with Right Place Right Time.

Michael Buble's Christmas release and One Direction's Take Me Home placed at two and three respectively, while Rod Stewart's Merry Christmas, Baby, and Neil Diamond's The Very Best Of rounded out the top five.
