Christmas Together has debuted at the top of the countdown with 21,000 first-week sales. Celebrating the success, Garth tells Billboard, "We had so much fun making this Christmas album together and we're honoured that people are making our music a part of their holiday season."

A source tells Billboard.com, Brooks has recruited his musical hero George Strait, Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line and Keith Urban for the reworked song, which was named Single of the Year at the 1990 CMA Awards.

Fact: Country music superstar Garth Brooks has broken his own concert sales record after more than 180,000 tickets for his upcoming Chicago, Illinois comeback shows were snapped up within the first three hours of going on sale. His previous record was 141,717 paid admissions for his 1997 gigs in Chicago. The singer will play a mini-residency consisting of 10 gigs at the city's Allstate Arena, starting from 4 September (14).
