Gary Barlow has re-established himself as one of the most important names in British pop thanks to his thoroughly successful re-launching of Take That coupled with his success as a judge on the X Factor and his help with the Olympics and Diamond Jubilee. With the aid of this ongoing stream of success Barlow has also decided to re-embark on a career as a solo artist, and will release his first album in 14 years later in 2013, with a UK tour taking place next year.

Barlow's back

Since I Saw You Last will arrive in stores on 25 November, picking up where Barlow left off in 1999 when he released Twelve Months, Eleven Days to limited success. The failure of his last album, caused in part due to his vilification in the media thanks to recent the collapse of Take That, caused him to retreat from he limelight at the turn of the century, leaving his career in limbo. With his career now at an all-time high, with an OBE and renewed success and interest to call his own, we'd hope that Since I Saw You Last doesn't cause another career-halting backlash for the singer and songwriter.

To help further promote his return to the studio as a soloist, Barlow has also announced details of a UK tour, which may potentially run on longer should he have time to take it overseas. The tour will run throughout April, kicking off on Wednesday 2 at the Glasgow SSE Hydro, followed by eight further dates leading up too Thursday 17, when he will play at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham.

Barlow announced the plans for a new album last month, when he also revealed that his first single from the album will be called 'Let Me Go,' which will be officially released as the album's first single on 17 November. The complete tracklisting for the album is available here. The full tour schedule is listed below. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday 9 October and are available through his official website.
