Snaps from the set of George Clooney's upcoming thriller 'Money Monster' in New York gave a startling sneak peak into the movie's plot as we see the Academy Award winning actor strapped up in a most unusual (and terrifying) ensemble. We're too excited.

Newly emerged images from the film set of the drama showed Clooney wearing what can only be described as a suicide vest over his shirt and tie. The costume featured pockets containing what are clearly meant to be explosive devices, while a shifty looking Jack O'Connell clutches the deadly remote switch.

Clooney stars as TV hero Lee Gates in the film, whose show 'Money Monster' gives out financial advice to the public. When one viewer, Kyle Budwell (played by O'Connell), takes on board a tip that loses his and his family's entire fortune, he decides to hold Gates and the show's crew hostage in a fatal game that is broadcast live on air.

'Money Monster' marks Oscar winner Jodie Foster's fourth film as a director. Her directorial debut was 1991's 'Little Man Tate' in which she also starred alongside Dianne Wiest. She then directed 1995's 'Home for the Holidays' starring Robert Downey Jr. and then helmed and starred in 'The Beaver' opposite Mel Gibson. Her most recent directing ventures were episodes for the popular Netflix series 'Orange Is the New Black' and 'House of Cards'.

George Clooney is also a producer on the movie, and other stars include Dominic West, Caitriona Balfe and Julia Roberts. The latter of whom makes 'Money Monster' her fourth film with Clooney; previously having starred in 'Oceans Eleven', 'Ocean's Twelve' and 'Confessions of a Dangerous Mind'. Clooney also produced Roberts' last feature film 'August: Osage County'.

Also spotted on the set of 'Money Monster' was Clooney's new wife Amal Clooney, who was taking time out of her busy schedule as a human rights lawyer to support her husband's newest venture. She could be seen watching the takes on a screen and also brought along their pet pooch.

Amal was recently announced to join the legal team of Mohamed Nasheed, former President of the Maldives, who was sentenced to prison for 13 years in March for the abduction of Judge Abdulla Mohamed. She will also be lecturing at Columbia Law School's Human Rights Institute this Spring. With her own life surrounding serious cases often to do with terrorism, it's likely she'll have a vested interest in her husband's new movie.
