Girls Aloud have given Amelia Lily career advice.

The 'Something New' chart-toppers - who recently reunited for their 10th anniversary after taking a break in 2009 - are fans of the 'X Factor' finalist and think she'll go far thanks to her mature attitude.

Amelia explained they had told her: ''Just enjoy it and live every day to the full. They all say I'm so young but I've got an older head on my shoulders and I'll do well with the attitude I've got. It's great to hear such positivity from them.''

The 18-year-old singer often bumped into the girl band - made up of Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts, Sarah Harding and Kimberley Walsh - while recording her debut album in the Xenomania studios in Kent, South England, and she was thrilled to be working in the same space as the popular group.

Asked whether they had crossed paths, Amelia gushed to OK! magazine: ''Yeah, quite a few times. It's nice to see them and work in the same studio where they developed and found themselves.''
