I Will Survive singer Gloria Gaynor is studying psychology at college, so she can become a counsellor to teenage parents.
The disco queen wants to open a centre for troubled youths in New Jersey - and she hopes to become one of the people those in need turn to for help.
She tells WENN, "The centre is called Living Waters Teen Parents Center, which I hope will open around the end of 2012, beginning of 2013 in Newark, New Jersey, which is my hometown.
"I think I was born a teacher. I even try to teach through my music. As far as teaching young people how to have good relationships and maintain a family and help prevent more teenage pregnancy and grow up to be responsible contributing members of society, that's something that was dropped into my heart because I don't even know any teenage parents. I see a need and I want to fill it."
