DiCaprio raised his eyebrows in surprise as Gaga knocked his elbow on the way up to receive her Golden Globe, and the internet promptly fell about laughing.
When the pop star, who was awarded for her role in ‘American Horror Story’ with the Best Supporting TV Actress prize at the ceremony on Sunday night (January 10th), went from her table to the stage to collect her trophy, she accidentally bumped into DiCaprio’s elbow which was hanging over his seat as he was speaking to one of his companions.
Leonardo DiCaprio's reaction to being barged by Lady Gaga broke the internet
J-Law decided to call out a non-English speaking reporter for not looking up from his phone, but many onlookers reckon she was in the wrong because he was using it to keep track of his questions.
The 25 year old star, who had won the Golden Globe for best actress in a musical or comedy for her role as Joy Mangano in David O. Russell’s latest film Joy on Sunday night (January 10th), was being interviewed by a reporter who kept glancing at his phone while she was replying.
“You can’t live your whole life behind your phone, bro,” Lawrence eventually said, calling out the offending behaviour. “You can’t do that, you’ve got to live in the now.”
Leonardo DiCaprio has a face for every occasion.
Leonardo Dicaprio presented one of the funniest moments of the 2016 Golden Globes when he pulled a hilarious face after being surprised by 'American Horror Story' star Lady GaGa. There he was, chortling away at a friend's joke, when he inadvertently made all the GG viewers hoot with laughter.
Lady Gaga wins at the Golden Globe Awards
Word of advice: never get in Lady Gaga's way. She's a badass vampire murderess after all, or, at least, she is in 'American Horror Story''s latest series 'Hotel' for which she was honoured with an award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series at the Golden Globes last night. Dressed in an elegant black velvet gown, her bleach-blonde hair in retro curls, she glided towards the stage to collect her award as DiCaprio rested his elbow on the back of his chair, partially and inadvertently blocking her path. Laughing away at his friend seated beside him, he failed to notice the singer-turned-actress as she barged past him.
Having generated controversy when he hosted the Golden Globes between 2010 and 2012, Gervais is back on January 10th to do it all again.
Ricky Gervais has revealed some details about the kind of jokes he’ll be telling when he returns as host of the Golden Globes in a few days’ time, saying that he found the opportunity to perform for hundreds of millions of viewers “irresistible”.
Gervais hosted the ceremony for three years in a row between 2010 and 2012, in a stint that raised ratings and, admittedly, the shock factor for the Golden Globes. Following three years of co-hosting by Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, he’ll be coming back for the January 10th show on NBC, and spoke to The Hollywood Reporter ahead of the ceremony.

The official Twitter account of the Golden Globes confused America Ferrera with Gina Rodriguez on Thursday morning as the nominations were being announced.
Whoever was in charge of live-tweeting the nominations ceremony at the Golden Globes on Thursday morning (December 10th) made a spectacular gaffe, as two pictures featuring ‘Ugly Betty’ star America Ferrera, who was announcing the nominations, tagged the handle of Gina Rodriguez, who in turn was being nominated in recognition for her work on ‘Jane the Virgin’. Oops…
“The @goldenglobes noms are about to start! @HereIsGina @ChloeGMoretz @ImAngelaBassett #DennisQuad #GoldenGlobes,” the unfortunate caption read.
Hollywood is really getting on the internet bandwagon - even if it is a few years late.
These days, it’s not an award show without an official selfie or photobomb or whatever image-related bandwagon Hollywood is hopping on that week. I’m talking, of course, about Benedict Cumberbatch, that painstaking “penguin” pronouncing pun producing pharaoh of the internet (feel free to pitch in a synonym starting with “p”).
Benedict Cumberbatch: the most awkward Brit in showbiz?
Here’s the backstory. Displaying the typical Hollywood amount of cultural sensitivity, hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were doing a bit on North Korea. Meanwhile, Meryl Streep was posing for a photo-op with an in-disguise Margaret Cho. Oh, and guess who was behind the camera? A treat for older viewers – it was Michael Keaton. It kind of begs the question - is BC's photobomb this year's Oscars selfie?

It appears there’s been a little technical mix-up ahead of Sunday’s ceremony.
The Golden Globes suffered a little embarrassment on Friday when their official website accidentally published a test version of Sunday’s winners page.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will host this year's ceremony
Bluefin, the company that runs goldenglobes.com for the Hollywood Press Association, were testing out the winner’s page when someone must have accidentally hit the publish button. Unfortunately for the Golden Globes someone must have been looking, as word of the mishap and the two films listed as winners quickly spread online.
With an epic Golden Globe awards ceremony set to take place on 11th January 2015, the contenders are taking a little time to relax before the stress kicks in.
With the 72nd Golden Globe Awards set to air on NBC on Sunday 11th January, the residents of Los Angeles are partying the remaining days away in anticipation of the celebration. Before converging on The Beverly Hilton this weekend, members of the casts for 'Birdman', 'Big Eyes' and 'The Hobbit' stopped by the Audi party.

Poehler's hubby Nick Kroll sent out the warning to the U2 frontman after he gave a congratulatory smooch to Poehler at the Golden Globes
Amy Poehler was awarded the Best Actress in a Television Series (Comedy) award at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards for her role as Leslie Knope in Parks and Recreation this weekend. It was a thoroughly deserved recognition and one that Poehler, who also co-hosted the event with Tina Fey, was overwhelmed with. The win also earned her a congratulator smooch from U2 frontman Bono, an extra that Poehler's boyfriend didn't approve of.
Poehler had a hectic night on Sunday, 12 Jan.
As Poehler got up to the stage to accept her award, she was congratulated by Bono, who has given a passionate kiss from Poehler, with the singer then receiving a light-hearted threat from Poehler's man Nick Kroll. He posted on his Twitter: "Hey Bono, watch your back," in an attempt to scare the singer into submission. So far, we don't think it worked.

Could anyone else live up to Fey and Poehler other than... Fey and Poehler?
Two of the biggest voices in modern comedy have landed another two slots at one of the biggest award ceremonies in the business. Having successfully helmed the Golden Globes, Tina Fey and are set to do it again, and again!
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have enjoyed a fruitful comedy partnership
"Tina and Amy are two of the most talented comedic writer/performers in our business and they were a major reason the Golden Globes was the most entertaining awards show of last season," said Paul Telegdy, president, Alternative and Late Night Programming, NBC Entertainment. "We're elated they wanted to host together again and that they committed for the next two years."
At the age of just 49, Jodie Foster has a career spanning 46 years. It is partly due to this incredible longevity that she will be receiving the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globe Awards next year. Of course, her talent, range and dedication, alongside this longevity, make her the obvious recipient for next year's awards. She's also the youngest person to win the award since 1967 when Charlton Heston won it aged just 43, and she's also only the twelfth woman to ever receive the award since its conception in 1952.
The news was revealed by Twilight's Kristen Strewart and The Mentalist's Simon Baker, at the Beverly Hills Hotel this morning (1st Nov 2012). Reported by CBS, Aida Takla O'Reilly, from The Hollywood Foreign Press Association, said "Jodie is a multifaceted woman that has achieved immeasurable amounts of success and will continue to do so in her career. Her ambition, exuberance and grace have helped pave the way for budding artists in this business."
Foster's filmography is more than impressive and sees her star in a drastic range of roles, from the pre-pubescent prostite Iris, in 1979's Taxi Driver, to Clarice Stirling in the chilling movie Silence of the Lambs, for which she won the Oscar for 'Best Actress' at the Academy Awards, just three years after winning it for The Accused. She has also directed and produced a variety of films, all of which adds to her impressive portfolio of work.
