British Rocker Bez Has Blasted Politicians In The Run-up To The U.k's General Election And Accused Them Of Deliberately Ignoring The Big Issues Facing The Country.
The Happy Mondays star, real name Mark Berry, is standing as a candidate in the nationwide ballot as a representative of the We Are The Reality Party and he is campaigning on the promise of a return to community values.
He is adamant the most pressing problems Britain needs to deal with are fracking and the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), a free trade agreement between the U.S. and Europe.
In an interview with the BBC on Wednesday (22Apr15), the dancer and percussionist launched into a furious rant and accused leading politicians of deliberately trying to avoid important issues.
He said, "Nobody has dealt with any of the issues what we're all facing (sic), and the biggest one is TTIP, and there's no mention on any show about what it means to the people of England. It's been swept under the carpet."
Britain goes to the polls on 7 May (15).
