Harrison Ford

The big news this week was that Harrison Ford will join the Expendables for their third film adventure. Sylvester Stallone tweeted the announcement, then went on to mention that Bruce Willis won't be around this time, apparently because he asked for too much money. Stallone was also caught on camera poking fun at Arnold Schwarzenegger's "big ego". Before they re-team for the next Expendables movie, they're costarring in the prison-break thriller Escape Plan. Watch Sly talking about Arnie at Comic Con here.

The next big superhero blockbuster will be Thor: The Dark World, and we got a more detailed look at the film in a new trailer this week. Pretty much everyone is back, including Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Idris Elba and Stellan Skarsgard. The movie looks like a huge-scale action adventure with a sense of humour about it. It opens in October. Watch the trailer for Thor: The Dark World here.

Diana

There's also a more expanded trailer for Diana, the biopic starring Naomi Watts as the People's Princess. This looks like an intimate behind-the-scenes glimpse into Diana's last few years, including her work to raise awareness of land mines and her romance with heart surgeon Hasnat Khan, played by Naveen Andrews. Directed by acclaimed German filmmaker Oliver Hirschbiegel (Downfall), it opens in September. Watch the trailer for Diana here.

Interest continues to grow in the biopic Jobs, starring Ashton Kutcher as Apple founder Steve Jobs. He spoke to the press this week about working with the cast and crew, the 1970s/80s hairdos, and some surprising details about Jobs himself, such as how his love of music drove him to rebel against expectations. The film opens next week in America and later in the year in Britain. Watch Ashton Kutcher talking about Jobs in a new interview here.

The Butler

Also opening next week in the US and later in the UK is another hotly anticipated biopic: Lee Daniels' The Butler. This true White House story is clearly going for awards attention with an all-star cast including previous Oscar winners Forest Whitaker, Jane Fonda, Vanessa Redgrave, Melissa Leo, Robin Williams and Cuba Gooding Jr, plus Oprah Winfrey, John Cusack and Terrence Howard. A range of clips and stills were released as the film celebrated its world premiere on Monday in New York. Read more about The Butler and check out some movie clips here.

But the film we're all really waiting for is The Muppets Most Wanted. It may not open until next spring, but a new teaser trailer and a series of stills are stirring up interest in what looks like a hilariously wacky European tour adventure. The human stars this time are Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell and Tina Fey, plus more cameos than you can count in the trailer alone. Read more about The Muppets Most Wanted and watch the trailer here.
