The now solo singer will return to the show on the back of fellow former bandmate, Liam Payne’s footsteps and perform his new stuff on the ITV show.

Rumours of an argument between Harry and his former manager Simon revered their ugly heads when the 23-year-old left Cowell’s music label Syco and moved to Columbia Records for his solo efforts.

However, his return to the show that rocketed him to stardom seems to indicate any problems between the two are behind them.

The Sign Of The Times hitmaker will appear on Saturday November 11 episode which will also have a George Michael theme, with all the acts performing tracks by the late singer.

The star has been performing as a single act since June 2016 after One Direction decided to take a hiatus in January 2016.

The original fivesome became a foursome when Zayn Malik broke hearts worldwide and quit the group in March 2015.

Recently Harry told The Sunday Times of how he felt more relaxed speaking to the music mogul.

Speaking of his song Signs Of The Times and what Cowell thought of his solo endeavour Harry said: "He said he really liked it and he was very proud of me. It was very friendly. Not like past phone calls haven’t been friendly, but I didn’t get that nervy 'the boss is calling me' feel, which was nice."
