While there's a real classic rock flavour to Harry Styles' latest single 'Kiwi', the new video for the track really couldn't be less rock and roll. Starring child actress Beau Gadsdon, it features one of the most innocent war games ever depicted in a music video.

Directed by filmmaking duo Us, the video sees a really serious bunch of children bringing along cupcakes for what you might initially think is a really intense bake sale in the school hall. However, it soon turns into a food fight of epic proportions; more like a baking battle, or cupcake carnage. Later Harry Styles arrives, wearing the exact same suit as one of the young girls (played by Beau Gadsdon from 'Rogue One' and 'The Crown'), flanked by an army of adorable pooches who make sure the sugary ammo doesn't go to waste.

Thankfully, all that cake covering the floor didn't cause any accidents, though the same can't be said for when Harry performed the song live at the Hammersmith Apollo last week. 'You may have seen me fall earlier during this song', he told the audience after his slip. 'It appeared to be a kiwi.'

In fact, when he saw that there was more than one of the green fruits on the stage, he realised that there may be a safety issue. Supermarket chain Asda reportedly even went as far as to ban the sale of kiwis to under-25s ahead of his next gig.

The song was co-written and produced by Jeff Bhasker, Alex Salibian and Tyler Johnson. Dropped on October 31st 2017, it's the third single from Harry Styles' self-titled debut solo album which topped UK and US charts. It also featured the songs 'Sign of the Times' and 'Two Ghosts'.
