The Melrose Place star, Heather Locklear, has been rushed to hospital in California but is said to be in a stable condition, according to a report from People magazine (Friday, January 13th, 2012). Her parents are quoted as saying "She is in no danger and she's going to be just fine."
Locklear was taken to the Los Robles hospital in Thousand Oaks on Thursday after the fire department and sheriff's deputies responded to a 911 call from her home, which is just northwest of Los Angeles. The cause of the 50 year-old actress' admission to hospital has not yet been confirmed but the article suggests that she may have mixed her prescription drugs with alcohol. A spokesperson from the hospital refused to comment on her condition but did confirm that she arrived at 2:30 pm and that she was resting by 8:00 pm
In 2008, Locklear's agent confirmed that she was suffering from depression. Earlier that year, a 911 call had been made from her home, from someone claiming to be her doctor, saying that she was trying to commit suicide. When the emergency services arrived, however, they took no further action as she appeared to be fine. In August last year, Heather announced her engagement to fellow Melrose Place star Jack Wagner. However, in November, the couple called off their engagement.
