During the Hollywood awards season earlier this year (15), Oscar nominee Witherspoon and Girls star/creator Lena Dunham championed #AskHerMore, a female empowerment drive encouraging reporters to quiz actresses on topics besides fashion.

Blanchett has become the latest star to blast red carpet reporting, but Harry Potter star MCCrory does not agree, insisting she enjoys talking about her designer attire.

She tells Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "I think I'd take affront if you don't mention what I'm wearing at a red carpet do... I don't look like I'm going to the pub and it would be a bit embarrassing if everyone just put their heads down and ignored the fact I'd dressed up.

"If you're putting in the effort, then part of the fun is to talk about it and say how wonderful it feels to wear it... so if you get somebody's interest by wearing an attention-grabbing outfit, you've got no right to be precious about it".
