Twentieth Century Fox has debuted a new poster for the upcoming comic book adaptation sequel, X-Men Days of Future Past. The dramatic new image features Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Daniel Cudmore, and Fan Bingbing alongside all the franchise's main characters.

It's Dark Times For The X-Men In 'Days Of Future Past.'

Jennifer Lawrence, Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Halle Berry, Nicholas Hoult, and Peter Dinklage all star in the action epic, which is due for release in May.

Lawrence's Mystique and Jackman's Wolverine are the most prominent features in the poster and are seen towering over a burning city. The movie is set in a post-apocalyptic world where mutants are now scarce, Charles Xavier must convince Wolverine to travel back in time to warn Xavier's younger self about their impending disaster-struck world.

The characters from the original film trilogy must join forces with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class, in an epic battle that must change the past to save our future in this ensemble action movie. The poster accompanies a series of new character shots with two characters from the movie shown in each promo shot.

The Movie Assembles A Killer Cast For An Action-Packed Sequel.

Released at the end of March, the movie's latest trailer shows the mutants fighting to save themselves from extinction. We catch a glimpse of the movie's astounding special effects and CGI. Director Bryan Singer has assembled what could well be the A-list cast of the year, uniting actors from all of the five previous X-Men films.

X-Men: Days of Future Past will be released on the 22nd May in the UK and on 23rd May in the USA.
