The former ‘Lovejoy’ is a bit of a killjoy for ‘GOT’ fans wanting to stay spoiler free.
Any article that involves Ian McShane talking about his upcoming ‘Game of Thrones’ role should come with a big fat ‘spoiler alert’ warning, so here we go: SPOILER ALERT! The loose lipped actor seems to be unable to stay quiet when it comes to revealing juicy season six plot details and what’s more, he doesn't really care.
Ian McShane stars in the new series of ‘Game of Thrones’.
Earlier this month, while appearing on BBC Breakfast he described his character as, “like an ex-warrior who’s become a peacenik.” Adding “I have a group of peaceful … sort of a cult who … I bring back a much-loved character who everybody thinks is dead.”
If that wasn’t enough he then went on BBC Radio 5 the very same day and elaborated further. "My character really served, when they asked me and I said — again it was like a one-off, a complete one-off, and again a great excuse to come to England, see mum and dad and before we do Doctor Thorne,” he said.

“The character is like a former warrior who has renounced violence and now leads this peace cult, around…wherever they are…but also, I have nursed a loved character — a much loved character — back to life. And it reintroduces — I won’t say him or her.”
“It’s a character that’s much loved, that everybody thinks has died, and he’s not dead. Me and my band of peace-loving brothers and sisters have nursed him back to life. So it introduces him again.”
When asked if it was The Hound or Jon Snow McShane said: “I’ll leave you with that one. I think you might guess which one it is…cause it’s not the latter. It might be the former.”
Now in an interview with The Telegraph, McShane has told those who were annoyed by his spoilers to ‘get a f---ing life’, before dropping another bombshell. “You say the slightest thing and the internet goes ape,” he said. "I was accused of giving the plot away, but I just think get a f---ing life. It’s only tits and dragons."

“They asked me if I wanted to do Game of Thrones and I said, 'Sure, I’ll be able to see my old pals Charlie Dance and Stephen Dillane’ and they said, 'No, we’ve killed them off.’ I wasn’t sure whether I could commit, but then they said it would only be for one episode, so I said, 'So that means I must die at the end of it. Great, I’m in.’”
So now, thanks to McShane, we know his character only appears in one episode where he dies in the end. But at least on the bright side it means he wont be able to spoil any more of season six for us.
