“The Iggy Azalea Great Escape Tour scheduled for this fall has been cancelled and refunds are available at point of purchase. There will be a new tour planned around Iggy‘s new record to be released in 2016 and we apologize for any inconvenience,” the email reads, as MTV reports.

The Great Escape tour encountered problems from the onset. The tour was announced in December and intended to kick off in April in California. In March, Azalea’s record label, Def Jam, announced the tour had been postponed until the fall owing to “production delays”.

Azalea gave an interview a few days after the announcement and explained how she was concerned, given the time she had before the spring dates, the tour would not be perfect and would not have “people like jumping out of the ceilings and flying all over the place.” In the statement, the record company also alluded to Azalea’s perfectionism and how she wanted the show to be the best possible.

“It is extremely important to Iggy that she delivers the show she envisaged to share with her fans and that requires more time in development,” Def Jam’s statement reads.

Def Jam has yet to comment on the new developments regarding Great Escape tour. Azalea, who announced she was taking a step back from using social media in February, has also neglected to comment. Her representatives, who usually keep her Twitter account up to date, have not released a statement as yet.
