While we should all be at least a little bit saddened by the fact that Taylor Swift’s masterpiece of a pop album, 1989, has been knocked off the top, the 387,000 copies of Four sold this week are a clear indicator of one thing. Unlike countless other boybands, One Direction have a formula that works long term. Or long-er term than your standard N*SYNC or Backstreet Boys anyway.
