Insane Clown Posse's Gathering Of The Juggalos music festival has been moved for a second time following protests from local residents in Missouri.

The event was held in Illinois last year (13), and earlier this month (Feb14), the band announced the 2014 festival would be moved to a campground in Kaiser, Missouri.

However, the news sparked a backlash among residents living close to the site, and the controversial hip-hop stars have now revealed they have been forced to rethink the location again.

A statement posted on the band's website reads, "The 15th Annual Gathering of the Juggalos is moving... But Not cancelled!... The owners of the campground... have decided to not allow the Gathering to take place on their property. This was a hard decision... they did not make it lightly... After we signed the contract and announced the location of the Gathering, some of the people that lived in the surrounding community began to raise hell. Not all of them, mind you, but enough to bring a lot of heat to the owners of the campground... The owners... were getting non-stop calls from angry neighbours and some even... started a petition against them. It was just too much of an onslaught of negative energy coming at them for them to handle."

Fans who had already bought tickets to the event will receive refunds.

The annual festival has developed a negative reputation in recent years after previous events were marred by violence and arrests. The band also claims an ongoing legal battle with the U.S. Justice Department, over their fans being labelled gang members, contributed to the dispute over the festival's location.
