The life story of late Inxs frontman Michael Hutchence is heading to the small screen in an upcoming Australian Tv series.

The tragic singer is the focus of a new four-hour mini-series called Never Tear Us Apart: The Inxs Story, which has been commissioned by Australia's Seven Network, according to industry website Deadline.com.

Tv bosses are currently looking for an actor to play the star, who was found dead in a Sydney hotel room in 1997, and production is due to begin in Melbourne next year (13).

The Tv show is the latest in a series of projects based on Hutchence - writer/producer Robert Galinsky is making a movie called Two Worlds Colliding based on a book by the star's sister and mother, while Richard Lowenstein, who directed Hutchence in a number of Inxs videos, is rumoured to be working on a similar biopic called Michael.
