A Group Of Concerned German Parents Have Posted Over A Billboard Advertising Iron Maiden's New Album Because The Grimacing Image Of The Band's Skeleton Mascot Is Terrifying Their Kids.
The poster for Iron Maiden‘s The Book of Souls in the Kreuzberg district of Berlin has been covered with a sign reading 'This poster has no business being here'.
Parents at a nearby school complained that artist Mark Wilkinson's image of a Mayan-themed skeletal shaman figure was giving their kids nightmares.
The band's mascot, Eddie, has been a staple on all Iron Maiden’s album covers, while massive inflatable versions of the scary skeleton often appear onstage with the group.
