J.K Simmons could be heading back to the Spider-Man universe.
J.K Simmons, the man who will win the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor at the Academy Awards for Whiplash later this month, says he could reprise his role as Daily Bugle editor J. Jonah Jameson in future Spider-Man movies. The actor's performances in three Spider-Man movies were among the memorable moments of the Raimi era.

Simmons didn't go into any detail though when asked by Howard Stern on his Sirius XM show whether he would consider reprising the character, the actor said, "I just heard that we.that's a possibility."
When Stern pushed Simmons on whether he would take the opportunity should it be presented, he responded: "Absolutely".

Where Simmons could slot back into the Spider-Man universe is up for debate. The easiest route would be for him to be cast in The Amazing Spider-Man 3, though his own spin-off movie would be more interesting.
Simmons plays music teacher Terrence Fletcher in Damien Chazelle's Whiplash - an astonishing performance that was easily the best of 2014. He will be up against Ed Norton (Birdman), Robert Duvall (The Judge), Ethan Hawke (Boyhood) and Mark Ruffalo (Foxcatcher) at the Oscars and will undoubtedly walk away with the prize.
"The acting is what drums up the interest here. J.K. Simmons proves - as most of us already know - he's a great actor and deserves more than acting for an insurance company," wrote Gary Wolcott of the Tri-City Herald in his review of the movie.
