The fun. musician released Strange Desire with his side project last year (14), and he has now announced plans for a new version of the album featuring women on vocals.

In addition to Sia and Charli XCX, other artists who have contributed songs include Carly Rae Jepsen, Sara Bareilles, and Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks.

In a post on Twitter.com, Antonoff writes, "I love female voices. I wish I had one. When I write songs I typically hear things in a female voice and then match it an octave lower so I can hit the notes. That's why so many Bleachers' songs are sung so low...

"So with that in mind I wanted to release a version of my record that spoke to how it was written and the ways I originally heard it in my head before I recorded and sang it."

The record is titled Terrible Thrills, Vol. 2. and follows on from Terrible Thrills, Vol. 1, which he recorded in 2010.

The first Terrible Thrills project was a covers album based on a record by another of his bands, Steel Train.
