Rocker Jack White and electronic dance music superstar Dillon Francis are set for glory at the 2013 mtvU Woodie Awards after landing two nominations apiece.

White will go up against Frank Ocean, Fiona Apple, Swedish House Mafia, Death Grips, Flux Pavillion and The Weeknd in the Fomo (Fear Of Missing Out) category, which celebrates the best performance of the moment, at the U.S. college-themed ceremony.

The former The White Stripes star will also compete against Avicii, Dan Deacon, Deadmau5, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, xx and Amanda Palmer for the inaugural Branching Out Woodie, which honours artists for their creative usage of social media.

Meanwhile, Francis will fight it out with the twenty one pilots, Alt-J, Earl Sweatshirt, Gold Fields, the Lumineers and Zedd for the Breaking Woodie trophy.

His Money Makin' is also up for the Tag Team Woodie for best collaboration with A-Trak, in addition to Kimbra, Mark Foster and A-Trak's Warrior, Meek Mill and Drake's Amen, Body Work by Morgan Page, Tegan and Sara, Mercy by Kanye West, Big Sean, Pusha T and 2 Chainz, Steve Aoki and Angger Dimas's duet with Iggy Azalea, Beat Down, and Antidote by Swedish House Mafia and Knife Party.

The Woodie of the Year will be a contest between Mgk, A$AP Rocky, Fun., Kendrick Lamar, Grimes, Walk the Moon and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.

The annual mtvU Woodie Awards, voted for by college students, will take place on 14 March (13) in Austin, Texas.
