British singer Jake Bugg fears he is missing out on a priceless history education while on the road as he is too young to soak up nightlife in the U.S.

The Lightning Bolt hitmaker, 20, has been on the road frequently since shooting to fame in 2011 and his trips have taken him to landmark locations in the States.

However, he usually finds himself holed up in a hotel room watching movies while his band parties the night away without him because he is too young to drink in the U.S.

Bugg tells The Sunday Times Magazine, "It's strange, because I go to all these lovely places that hold so much musical history, like Memphis and Nashville, but I can't go and see any of the music because I'm too young to go into any bars. I just have to go back to the hotel. It's depressing. All my band go out and enjoy themselves, and I can't do nothing except have a cup of coffee and sit up in my room, watch a film maybe. It's boring."
