James Arthur and Lucy Spraggan - two former contestants on the 2012 series of The X Factor - appear to be at loggerheads over the former's gay slurs in a recent diss track.

James ArthurJames Arthur Allegedly Sent Abusive Texts To Lucy Spraggan

We reported on Arthur's response to rapper Micky Worthless, which led to an argument with Frankie Boyle on Twitter, though it appears a feud with Spraggan has now opened up.

Spraggan posted a screenshot of text messages on Twitter that she had allegedly received from the Impossible singer.

"Lucy what are you playing at having digs at me? Is it coz you're a gay rights activist you had to say something as extreme as "people kill themselves every day over words like queer" are you for real?" read the first text.

"My album sold 10 times youres in it's first week so you can fuck off with you're career shite. Stop reading the press 'mate'. Real people don't care," it continued.

Spraggan replied: "Real people are people you arsehole. 10 times in the first week hahahahahahahahaha. Good, I'm glad. Enjoy."

"Two faced fickle attention seeker. Dissapear," Arthur allegedly responded.

"I think you'll do that far before I do," the 'Tea And Toast' singer signed off.

The diss track, which sees Arthur attempting to defend his credibility, contains lyrics including, "I wrote every single song on my album and the realest feel it," though the North-East singer suggests Worthless should "shoot himself," before adding, "You probably want to put your st*nky dick in me, you f*cking queer."

He adds: "Hilarious, precarious you Talibani confused, imbellic mimic of a gimmick."

After comedian Frankie Boyle criticised him on Twitter, Arthur fired back, "You are a 38 yr old man what are you doing? You know nothing about music and comedy it seems.I feel sorry for your kids," to which Boyle came back with, "I feel sorry for them too, because they'll have to watch you in panto next year."

James Arthur's self-titled debut album entered the UK chart at No.2 following its release on November 4, 2013.
