Foo Fighters Were 'uncomfortable' Doing Carpool Karaoke

James Corden Dave Grohl

Foo Fighters found their stint on 'Carpool Karaoke' ''a little uncomfortable''.

The 'All My Life' rockers appeared as guests on the popular segment as part of 'The Late Late Show with James Corden' last month, where they drove around LA and sang their hit singles, as well as paying a visit to the Guitar Centre.

However, despite enjoying the experience at the start, the band have admitted the lengthy filming day proved to be somewhat tiresome.

Peter Rabbit Trailer

Peter Rabbit (James Corden) is a naughty little critter, easily identifiable by his little blue jacket. His favourite activity in the world is eating vegetables, and more often than not that involves sneaking into the garden of the often exasperated Mr. McGregor (Domhnall Gleeson). He takes his friends along with him - some of which you'll definitely recognise from Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle the hedgehog to Mr. Tod the fox - and together they have a whale of a time with an all-you-can-eat buffet of lettuce, carrots and tomatoes.

When Mr. McGregor returns home one day to find his garden ransacked and his house littered with leftovers, he thinks things couldn't get any worse. That is until he realises that there are a load of anthropomorphic animals hiding in his furniture. By the looks of things, he's not the furious farmer we read about in the original story - rather one of Peter's poor victims. But we'll soon discover what happens to the rebellious buck, and whether or not he learns his lesson about stealing from people's gardens.

Beatrix Potter's world famous children's characters have been brought to life in this wonderful CGI / live action comedy 'Peter Rabbit'. Directed by the Golden Globe nominated Will Gluck ('Friends with Benefits', 'Easy A', 'Annie'), who co-wrote the screenplay alongside Rob Lieber ('Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day'), the film is based on the original 1902 story 'The Tale of Peter Rabbit' - with a humorous modern twist, of course.

James Corden Deeply Regrets Kissing Sean Spicer While Drunk On Emmys Night

James Corden

A great many of us have woken up after a heavy night out wondering what on Earth we decided was a good idea to do while inebriated - but few are left more embarrassed than James Corden, who incurred the internet's wrath by kissing former Press Secretary Sean Spicer.

Just because he's no longer a part of the White House family doesn't excuse the fact that Sean Spicer has repeatedly lied to the American public over the last several months. As if his inclusion in Sunday night's (September 17th 2017) Emmy Awards ceremony wasn't bad enough, James Corden made things worse by being pictured giving him a kiss on the cheek.

Liam Gallagher Gives James Corden A Break. Slams Soloists And Bono Instead.

If there's one thing you can say about Liam Gallagher, it's that he's not afraid to say exactly what's on his mind, even if he takes down a chat-show host in the process. As it turns out though, James Corden isn't the only celebrity the former Oasis star has got a problem with.

In the past, the 44-year-old has denied he would go solo because he's 'not a c**t'. Unfortunately though, with an Oasis reunion not on the cards anytime soon, he has decided to bite the bullet and give it a go - but he still hates most solo musicians.

James Corden Watched 'Sharknado 5' And It's Clearly The Best Thing He's Ever Watched

James Corden

'Sharknado' is probably one of the best worst indie film series ever created, and with the premiere of 'Sharknado 5: Global Swarming' over the weekend, it's safe to say that the world was gripped once again. Especially James Corden, who reserved a special segment on his show devoted to the new release.

James Corden at 'The Emoji Movie' premiereJames Corden at 'The Emoji Movie' premiere

Of course, nobody else James knew seemed to have watched the film - I mean, it's about sharks getting swept up in a cyclone and killing city folk, it's kind of a niche subject - but it's probably the best movie he's seen all year. After watching it on Sunday night (August 6th 2017), he decided to recount some of his favourite moments from the 'epic' film.

The Emoji Movie Review

Weak

There's no reason why this animated comedy adventure needed to be this pointless. Solidly entertaining movies have been made using far less as source material (see The Lego Movie). But while there are some hilarious verbal and visual gags peppered throughout this movie, it all hinges on a script that's painfully obvious and animation that simply isn't inventive enough to hold the attention without a decent story and stronger characters.

It's set in Textopolis, an app inside the smartphone of the teen Alex (Jake T. Austin). The central character is Gene (T.J. Miller), who has far too many expressions for a meh emoji. His parents (Jennifer Coolidge and Steven Wright) worry that he has some sort of defect. Threatened by the cruel senior emoji Smiler (Maya Rudolph), Gene and his pal Hi-5 (James Cordon) sneak out of the app in search of the hacker Jailbreak (Anna Faris), who can help reprogramme him if they can make it to the cloud. But Smiler sends a team of killer bots in hot pursuit.

Yes, the plot is cursory at best, and essentially exists only so the film can namecheck carefully placed apps in a series of sponsored, rather pointless extended set pieces. This leaves the movie feeling like a low-rent variation on Wreck-It Ralph, although only a few of these sequences have any visual interest. The Candy Crush world is at least a colourful alternative to the dull digital look of most of most of the movie. And the lack of imagination shows in the depiction of music streaming as a stream and a firewall as a wall of fire. There's also a strange rush to violence in almost every sequence, as the bots continually try to delete our heroes.

Emoji Movie Trailer

We use Emojis in text messages and social media everyday, but have you ever thought about what these images get up to when you put away your iPhone? When a high school boy goes to send his crush a 'Meh' emoji, it turns into something quite different. To the disappointment of his parents, Gene has never been quite as apathetic as he's expected to be, so when he messes up his moment it causes quite the problem for everyone else. Now the boy thinks his phone is broken, and he's on the way to get it re-set. That's not looking good for the emojis who find themselves desperately trying to back-up their world in the Cloud before their whole world gets wiped out. Meanwhile, Gene is about to learn that having more than one expression may not be such a bad thing after all.

Everything We Know So Far About 2018's 'Peter Rabbit'

James Corden Domhnall Gleeson

Victoria Beckham Teams Up With James Corden For 'Carpool Karaoke'

Victoria Beckham James Corden

James Corden has managed to persuade Victoria Beckham to do what the other four Spice Girls were unable to – resume her singing career! The former pop star and current fashion designer will join the British presenter for ‘Carpool Karaoke’.

The 42 year old revealed her involvement with Corden’s now-iconic segment of ‘The Late Late Show’ – on which she was a guest on Wednesday night (March 29th). At some point soon, we can all look forward to the pair of them belting out old Spice Girls hits. With or without the use of Auto-Tune, we don't yet know.

Victoria herself announced her involvement with the CBS show via Instagram on Wednesday, sharing a picture of herself with 38 year old Corden stood behind her laughing hysterically. “What is so funny @j_corden X VB,” she captioned it.

So apparently, James Corden might be bringing his much-loved 'Late Late Show' to the UK, which means a very different calibre of guests for his legendary Carpool Karaoke. He may have his own wish list of potential guests for a UK version, but so do we.

James CordenJames Corden to bring Carpool Karaoke to the UK?

It isn't like he's never had Brits on the segment before, but we think the fact that One Direction, Chris Martin, Adele and Elton John have been amongst some of the most popular Carpool Karaoke videos is reason enough to bring it to the nation fully. 'We do have some stuff planned this year - which might involve being in the UK', he told the Radio Times. It seems only right, given that the 'Late Late Show' skit originated from a 2011 Red Nose Day clip featuring the late George Michael.

Jimmy Fallon And James Corden Both Take On President Trump

Following Donald Trump's most recent bizarre press conference, people across the world have been left utterly baffled by his nonsensical statements about fake news, uranium and Russian relations. Among other things. James Corden and Jimmy Fallon have managed to sum up the mess between them on their respective talk shows.

Adam Lambert Crushes Competition In Live Head To Head

James Corden Posts Video Response To Donald Trump's 'Muslim Ban'

In the wake of the chaos and outrage caused by Donald Trump’s executive order banning the entry of migrants from a number of Muslim-majority countries – known widely as the ‘Muslim ban’ – James Corden filmed his completely incident-free journey through Los Angeles airport by way of protest against the new law.

In a brief video he secretly filmed this week of his journey through LAX, after he secretly sets up a camera in the back of the car he’s being driven in, the 38 year old host of ‘The Late Late Show’ guided viewers through his experience.

In it, he checks in for his flight, passes through security, orders a grilled cheese sandwich and has a brief and friendly chat with an airline worker as he boards the plane, in what was a very smooth travelling process.

'Pierce Brosnan Pushed Me': James Corden Reveals His Rudest Celebrity Encounter

James Corden Pierce Brosnan

James Corden bravely opened up about the rudest celebrity he'd ever encountered to Khloe Kardashian and his audience during a segment on 'The Late Late Show'. As it turns out, Pierce Brosnan was the one that most sticks in his mind after the latter shoved the presenter at a concert.

James CordenJames Corden says Pierce Brosnan is the rudest celebrity he's ever met

That's the danger with being rude to talk-show hosts - they may not necessarily be at the top of the A list, but they do know all the A listers and have friends in high places, so we imagine the former James Bond star isn't going to hear the end of this one after he knocked the host down during a U2 show at the Forum in Los Angeles.

Trolls Review

Excellent

Almost pathologically buoyant, this brightly colourful animated comedy is so cheeky that it's impossible to dislike. The plot may be thin, and the wackiness a bit too full-on, but every moment is packed with smart verbal and visual jokes. This rapid-fire energy keeps us laughing all the way through, while the lively song score has us humming along and wishing we could get up there and dance.

It's set in a garish fantasy world in which sweetly happy trolls are locked in a mortal battle with gloomy bergen who think the only way they can achieve happiness is to eat a troll. It's been 20 years since the trolls escaped to form a secret forest community, so they throw a party to celebrate. Led by Princess Poppy (Anna Kendrick), the festivities feature so much music, glitter and hugging that the bergen's Chef (Christine Baranski) spots their location. The paranoid troll Branch (Justin Timberlake) had warned that this might happen, and sure enough Chef sweeps in and grabs a handful of trolls to take back to bergen King Gristle (Christopher Mintz-Plasse). Feeling responsible, Poppy sets out on a quest to rescue them, and Branch grudgingly accompanies her. They also get help from the lovelorn bergen scullery maid Bridget (Zooey Deschanel).

There isn't a moment in this story that carries even a hint of actual suspense, but the action scenes are still exhilaratingly madcap, and the darker moments along the way generate proper emotion. Thankfully, the lesson is so painfully obvious (you don't need to eat a troll to be happy!) that the filmmakers don't bother hammering it in. Instead, they fill every scene with deranged wit, ridiculous gags and lively character detail.

James Corden

Can you imagine just chilling out at home with your housemates when suddenly James Corden shows up on your doorstep with the entire crew from 'The Late Late Show'? Echoing last year's antics when he arrived at a stranger's house during his second week as host, James Corden took to the streets of LA once again to find another household willing to play host to the British presenter himself, his crew, and a string of celebrity guests for a live airing. While his charm initially failed him at first (most neighbours didn't seem entirely keen on the idea), he eventually came across Natalie and her housemates Taylor, Melodie and Adam, who were only too willing to accomodate them.

Alanis Morissette Joins James Corden To Rework 'Ironic' For The Tinder And Snapchat Generation

Alanis Morissette James Corden

Alanis Morissette’s 1996 hit ‘Ironic’ has taken a lot of flack over the years for some of its less-than-ironic lyrics (is rain on your wedding day really ironic?). But on Monday night’s edition of James Corden's 'Late Late Show', the song was given a modern re-working that we can all get behind.

Alanis MorissetteAlanis Morissette has reworked ‘Ironic’ for the 21st century.

Wearing in a red beanie hat, resembling the one she wore in the song’s video, Morissette sat down for an acoustic rendition of the hit, with a few different lyrics. ’An old friend sending you a Facebook request and only find out they're racist after you accept,' Morissette began, before she was joined by host James Corden dressed in a matching outfit.

Kill Your Friends Review

Weak

First-time director Owen Harris boldly attempts a comedy even blacker than American Psycho or Filth with this 1990s Britpop satire, but he never quite gets the tone right. Based on the bestselling novel by John Niven (who also wrote the screenplay), the film lacks a single character the audience can identify with or root for. And since it's impossible to care about the slimy anti-hero, the movie ends up merely feeling mean-spirited.

The slimeball at the centre is Steven (Nicholas Hoult), an A&R man at Unigram Records at the peak of Britpop in 1997. He's had a run of hot new artists, and doesn't let his loathing of pop music slow him down, tormenting his assistant Rebecca (Georgia King), his faithful scout Darren (Craig Roberts) and his matey colleague Roger (James Corden). He's also so determined to get a promotion that he takes things to violent extremes, then becomes even more annoyed when the job goes to his hated rival Antony (Tom Riley). So now all he has left is the search for another vile musician he can turn into the next big thing.

The film has a sleek, snaky energy to it that nicely recreates the cut-throat atmosphere of the period. And Niven has a lot to say about how the music business abuses truly talented artists while promoting inept stars like Steven's aspiring girl band Songbirds. Essentially, this film is a full-on assault on a British society where self-absorbed jerks climb the corporate ladder because they're ambitious, not because they're actually good at anything. The one sense of balance in the story comes from a cop (Edward Hogg), who's investigating a murder but really wants Steven to help him launch his own musical career. In other words, the film is shouting its themes at the top of its voice, rather than letting them hit the target with quiet precision.

Kill Your Friends - Teaser Trailer

It's the mid 90's and the music scene in the UK is booming. Excess is the word of the decade and the music industry runs on a steady supply of drugs, booze and huge amounts of money. Steven Stelfox is a young A&R manager at one of London's biggest labels but in reality it's quite by chance that he's made it. It's a dog-eat-dog industry and when your ideas run out there's a good chance you'll be cast aside. Not wishing to be the next for the chopping block, Stelfox takes his career ambitions to a whole new level. How well would you survive when even your friends are your enemies?

Since its release in 2008, John Niven's book 'Kill Your Friends' has become a cult classic. Niven himself had worked at many record labels and inspired some of the themes behind the story. Whilst the story is fiction and no one was actually killed, many people in the industry draw many parallels to what actually happened during those years.

Kill Your Friends is the first major release for director Owen Harris and sees Nicholas Hoult & James Corden take two of the lead roles.
