British singer James Morrison has been forced to scrap the rest of his U.K. tour as he recovers from a throat infection.
The Wonderful World hitmaker has apologised to fans after postponing shows as he battles an illness.
In a post on his blog, he writes, "I've picked up an annoying throat infection and the doctors say I mustn't sing for a few more days yet or it will just get worse. I've had no option but to postpone the rest of the UK tour and rest up.
"I'm gutted - particularly as these UK shows have been some of the best that I've ever played and you guys have been absolutely amazing!! I know people have travel plans messed up and will be put out by this and I am genuinely sorry."
Morrison has assured ticket holders he'll be back on the road as soon as possible, adding, "We're already working hard to reschedule all of the postponed shows for later in the year, so I look forward to seeing you guys very soon. Please bear with me and I'll be back as soon as I can."
The star was due to perform gigs in Leeds, Nottingham and Newcastle, England, before taking his tour to Denmark, Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, Spain and Portugal next month (Mar12).
