James Vincent McMorrow's new single, 'We Don't Eat', will be released on November 13th, 2011. It is the new single taken from his debut album, 'Early In The Morning', which was released in March 2011. The B-side to the new single is a cover of 'Higher Love', originally by Steve Winwood.
The video for We Don't Eat was directed by Myles O'Reilly of Arbutus Yarns and sees blurred visions of British motorways and streets at night, lit up by street lamps. We see James superimposed on top of the images, singing the haunting lyrics of the equally haunting song.
James recorded his debut album in seclusion at a beach house in his native Ireland. He made his TV debut in the UK on the popular music show 'Later... With Jools Holland' and has sold out venues such as the ICA, St Pancras Church and Queen Elizabeth Hall in London.
James has announced an intimate gig at Rough Trade West in London on October 18th, to coincide with the release of the limited vinyl release of his single. Further details are available on the official website.
