British Actor Jamie Bell Learned To Walk On Stilts For The Upcoming Fantastic Four Reboot Because His Character Is A Foot (30 Centimetres) Taller Than Him.
The Billy Elliot star plays Ben Grimm, who turns into a giant stone creature known as The Thing, and Bell portrayed the transformed version of his character using motion capture technology and he had to wear stilts onset to become the right height.
He tells Britain's Style magazine, "My character grows to 6ft 8in, and I'm only 5ft 8in, so I had to learn to move on stilts that are usually used for construction... If you ever need some drywalling done, give me a call. I can tap-dance in those stilts now."
