Fifty Shades Darker Trailer

When Ana and Christian had their first fateful meeting, neither party knew much about the real person they were meeting. Christian didn't know just how naive Ana really was and Ana didn't quite understand just how dark Christian's thoughts ran. Though from completely different backgrounds and living entirely different lives, the pair were attracted to one another and they began a relationship - one mainly brought about after Christian seducing Ana, his latest younger woman. As dark secrets were uncovered, it became known to Ana that Christian was into BDSM. Still wishing to go ahead with the relationship, Ana finds out just how far Christian is willing to go to get his thrills but realises that she can't be with a man who inflicts that level of pain on someone they care about.

Time passes, Christian continues with his business lifestyle and Ana starts a new job at a publishing house and the former lovers reunite whilst at an exhibition of photography put on by one of Ana's friends. Christian begins to realise that his feelings for Ana run deeper than the usual dominant / submissive roles that usually define his relationships. With Ana now setting the rules, the pair begin a true relationship but as stories about Christian's past are revealed and Ana is introduced to some of the women that involve his past, neither party know exactly how they'll make their relationship work without sacrificing certain aspects.

Kim Basinger is introduced to the plot as Elena Lincoln a lady Ana nicknames Mrs. Robinson after learning that she seduced Christian whilst still of a young age. Is Jamie Dornan Already The Next Big Star, Before 'Fifty Shades Of Grey'?

Jamie Dornan

By this time next year Jamie Dornan will probably be a household name, thanks to his starring role in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey. Whilst we might be sitting back and waiting for Chrsitian Grey to hit the big screen, Jamie is doing nothing of the sort. Instead he has a new TV show, New Worlds, beginning tonight on Channel 4. So before we've even seen him as Christian Grey, we've got to ask, is Jamie Dornan Hollywood's next big star?

Jamie Dornan who is starring in New WorldsJamie Dornan who is starring in New Worlds

There was a time when Jamie Dornan’s name had to be preceded with the words Kiera Knightly’s ex, thankfully those days are over. Belfast born Jamie dated the actress between 2003 and 2005, back when he was a model who appeared in campaigns alongside Kate Moss and Eva Mendes. The modelling career wasn't going too bad, but Jamie soon began to turn his attention to acting. He first had a small part in 2006’s Marie Antoinette which was followed up by a 2008 Myspace film release entitled Beyond the Rave. Neither roles saw Jamie's acting carrer take off and it would be a few years before Dornan landed his big break. It would be through television, not movies that Dornan would finally start to see his acting career take off.

Is Alessandro Protto Really 'Fifty Shades Of Grey's' Christian Grey? He Thinks So

Jamie Dornan

Italian real estate agent Alessandro Protto has claimed he is the real Christian Grey. The businessman has been adding up the similarities between him and the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' character and adding on the fact he's met author E.L. James, he's drawn the conclusion that he is the inspiration for the character. With that in mind, let’s take a look at the similarities between the two men.

Jamie Doran will play Christian Grey in the upcoming movieJamie Dornan will play Christian Grey in the upcoming movie

Firstly its worth noting that Protto met author E.L. James when she was in Italy. He claims he spent two days travelling around Italy with the author when she was writing about international celebrities buying properties in the country. Sounds exciting.

Now we can move on to the similarites. Firstly Protto like Mr Grey is a successful businessman, but what’s even better is  Protto runs a firm called ‘Proto Organization Holding’. If that sounds familiar it might be because you’ve heard of ‘Grey Enterprise Holding’, yes the firm owned by Christian Grey in the novels. Just a coincidence? Protto thinks not.

Next is the even more spooky fact that much like E.L. James’s infamous character, Protto too drove an Audi, remarkable. Another fact that further cemented the real estate agents belief was the location of Grey’s office. Protto told the New York Daily News, ”my office is located at the 8th floor. It is the highest in the building. I came from nothing, so I see top floors as a metaphor for achievement and success.”

Despite Protto’s admissions another character trait he shares with the fictional businessman is, shyness when it comes to speaking to reporters, something he might be working on. He described himself and Christian has having the same ‘mystery’ saying, "Christian Grey doesn’t like speaking to reporters, so he builds up a mystery that surrounds him, everyone knows he made it, but nobody knows how he reached success. Same with me,” What’s worse is since rumors started that Protto could be the real life Grey he’s said to have received all sorts of ‘indecent’ proposals and also a fan club set up by a group of Swiss women. Reacting to his new found fame he said, "at times it can be pretty annoying. I don't like gossip and showbiz, I'm a businessman, that's what I do for a living and it is my main purpose in life."

First "Fifty Shades Of Grey" Poster Revealed, After Production Runs Into Yet More Trouble

Dakota Johnson Jamie Dornan

After the Fifty Shades of Grey movie got a cast and a release date, on Friday the first official poster was revealed. Like everything else around the film’s promotion, the poster is very minimal, featuring only Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey, with his back turned to the camera, gazing at the Seattle skyline. The tagline “Mr. Grey will see you now” is featured prominently above the photo, with the release date – Valentine’s Day 2015 – below it. the only other words on the poster are a link to fiftyshadesmovie.com (apart from the logos of the movie studio and production partners).

Fans will have to wait a while longer for a poster featuring Dakota Johnson.

Meanwhile, it’s full steam ahead on production in Vancouver. Things are getting so steamy in fact that the neighbors are starting to complain. That’s not a figure of speech either – residents in the Vancouver neighborhood where the movie is being filmed have complained about the rain machine being used causing a disruption, according to MTV News.

The first images of the upcoming adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey have been released. That's Valentine's Day in case anyone needed clarification. It's difficult to consider the excessively controlling and fairly disturbing, Christian Grey a romantic character, but each to their own. Nevertheless, if the producers of the films consider sex contracts and women gaining promotions through their sexual conduct then so be it - we live in a sad and twisted world.

If you thought that the shooting of the Fifty Shades of Grey movie would be any easier than the chaotic casting, you were pretty wrong. After having hiccups in the early stages, including the walk-out of the former Christian Grey, Charlie Hunnam, as well as the film's seeming inability to nail down any committed cast members apart from Dakota Johnson, filming is finally underway in Vancouver.

Reports from the shoot suggest that the movie, which is based on author EL James' erotic trilogy, seems to be well-cast with Johnson and Jamie Dornan enjoying chemistry in their roles as Ana Steele and her lover Grey. "Dakota is nailing her role," says E!News' source, adding "Everyone on set loves Dakota." Indeed, Sam Taylor-Johnson's directing seems to be working out pretty well too. "Sam has a great relationship with the actors," the movie source says. "The script is running smoothly and there is not a lot of re-shooting that has had to be done."

Fifty Shades Of Grey To Release Raunchy, And Not-So-Raunchy Version?

Jamie Dornan Dakota Johnson

A more explicit version of the Fifty Shades of Grey movie may be released alongside the R-rated cut, according to producer Dana Brunetti.

"It'll be R, obviously it has to be R," he told Collider, "This is just my opinion and this doesn't mean this is going to happen, but I always thought it would be really cool if we released the R version and then we had an NC-17 version that we released a few weeks later."

"So everybody could go and enjoy the R version, and then if they really wanted to see it again and get a little bit more gritty with it then have that NC-17 version out there as well.

Jamie Dornan "Doesn't Fear" His '50 Shades Of Grey' Role

Jamie Dornan Dakota Johnson Sam Taylor-Wood Amelia Warner

Jamie Dornan was announced as the replacement for the departed Charlie Hunnam to star in the upcoming 50 Shades of Grey movie adaptation weeks ago, earning him one of Hollywood's most attention-grabbing starring roles to appear on the upcoming film radar. Speaking as the cover star for Entertainment Weekly, Dornan addressed the pressures of his upcoming role, as well as the route he took to get to where he is and how he is preparing himself for the role.

This is by far the most high-profile role the Northern Irish actor has been given in his time as an actor, yet this is a project that Dornan says he is looking forward to, rather than one whose gradual approach he is dreading. After taking over from Hunnam after he unceremoniously walked away from the project in mid-October, Dornan has had little time to prepare for his role, but as he explained in the recent interview, he has already begun putting in the work to achieve the right body look for Grey, as well as finding the right mindset to portray a sexually deviant billionaire.

“I certainly don’t fear it,” Dornan began his talk. “I already got a glimpse into working with [director] Sam [Taylor-Johnson] at the test, and I’d met [co-star] Dakota [Johnson] by then. So I had a glimpse into how I felt it would be if I got the part. None of it scared me.”

'50 Shades Of Grey' Movie: What Says Valentine's Day Better Than Big Screen Bondage?

Jamie Dornan Dakota Johnson Sam Taylor-Wood E.L. James

The much-discussed movie adaptation of 50 Shades of Grey has been hit with a barrage of problems ever since Universal acquired the rights to EL James' erotic novel. With the most recent issue to affect the film - Charlie Hunnam's exit, followed some time after by Jamie Dornan's eventual casting - only recently being resolved, it doesn't really come as too much of a surprise to learn that studio bosses have decided to delay the film's release for another few months.

Originally slated for a 1 August 2014 release, it has since been announced that the film will instead debut in February 2015, coinciding with Valentines Day. Shooting was put back following Hunnam's exit, having originally been slated to begin this month.

Universal Announces Postponed Release Date For "Fifty Shades" Film

E.L. James Dakota Johnson Jamie Dornan Charlie Hunnam

In a new twist, the constant bumps in the road for the Fifty Shades of Grey project may have resulted in the release date being postponed for 2015. Reuters reports that Universal Pictures made the announcement on Wednesday. The original release date – August 1, 2014, has been pushed back for February 13 the following year – just in time for Valentine’s day.

Universal made no comment on the reason for the postponed release date, but it may be related to Charlie Hunnam, who was cast to portray protagonist Christian Grey, pulling out of the project on October 13 this year. Hunnam was quickly replaced, however, when Irish actor Jamie Dornan signed on to star alongside Dakota Johnson on October 24. This means that casting problems are probably not the cause of the delay after all.

The film is slated to begin shooting in December. It will be distributed by Universal Pictures' Focus Features. Despite the 50 Shades trilogy having been panned by many critics, the book became the fastest selling paperback of all time in Britain. It remains to be seen whether the adaptation will achieve similar success. The 2015 release date means that it is possible for the film to lose a lot of the built-in buzz from the book release.

Jamie Dornan has signed on to play Christian Grey in Universal and Focus Films' adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey - the bestselling erotic novel by E.L James. Dornan - an Irish actor with only a modest CV - replaces Charlie Hunnam who infamously backed out of the project just 2 weeks before filming was set to begin in Vancouver.

It's likely that Dornan came to the producer's attentions for his excellent turn in the BBC series The Fall, with The X-Files' Gillian Anderson. Playing a bereavement psychologist moonlighting as serial killer, Dornan proved he could do the whole glassy-eyed maniac thing.

Speaking with Digital Spy of one particularly disturbing scene, the former model said, "I spent a day strangling myself on the back of a door while I masturbated to a driving license of one of my victims. That's not an easy day at the office! And they cut it out! I couldn't believe it-they didn't even tell me. When I first watched the series, it just wasn't there!"

Jamie Dornan is officially the new Christian Grey in the 50 Shades of Grey movie. The actor was revealed as the successor to Charlie Hunnam, who left the 50 Shades of Grey project amidst reports that he had gotten cold feet due to the immense pressure and exposure of the role, late on Wednesday, 23 October, via a report from The Hollywood Reporter.

Jamie Dornan will hopefully be a more popular appointment that Hunnam

The 31-year-old Once Upon A Time actor beat off a host of competing actors all vying for the high-profile role, and was chosen over a host of favorites for the role, including Matt Bomer and Alexander Skarsgard. With Dornan's casting, the film can once again begin to pick up steam and finally begin filming, following weeks of frantic searching for a new Grey. With the appointment, the film may still be finished in time to reach the scheduled 1 August, 2014 release date.

Why Jamie Dornan Represents A Huge Risk For '50 Shades Of Grey' Movie

Jamie Dornan

The 50 Shades of Grey cast is in turmoil, as we know. Charlie Hunnam, the strange but intriguing choice to play billionaire Christian Grey, pulled out of the project owing to his immersive television schedule.

Of course, both and he and his agent will have known all to well his commitments to Sons of Anarchy and it's far more likely - as reports suggest - that the relative newcomer was overawed by both the opposition to his casting and the general fervour for the film.

The 50 Shades of Grey movie is a funny old thing really. It's in Hollywood no-man's land. Nobody's quite sure whether it has the potential to do enough business to spawn a franchise - we're certain it does, though not everyone in convinced.

Actor Jamie Dornan is the latest in a long line of rumored successors to the role of Christian Grey after Charlie Hunnam walked away from the adaptation of author EL James' erotic trilogy. The Irish The Fall actor's name has surfaced to the top of the pile since Hunnam's departure after it was reported that he went for the role the first time round but lost out to the better-known Sons of Anarchy star.

Hunnam blamed his necessary departure on an "immersive schedule" and explained that he wouldn't have time to properly prepare for the role as a result. This left the studios scrambling and 50 Shades fans wondering who the new face of the Christian Grey would be in the sexually-charged fiction.

One Christian Grey To Rule Them All - Jamie Dornan Is The Latest Actor To Be Considered

E.L. James Charlie Hunnam Jamie Dornan

Charlie Hunnam quit the Fifty Shades of Grey project a few days ago, but the ripples of his exit are still being felt throughout the internet. This is mostly because, as of today, there is still no news as to who will replace the Sons of Anarchy actor and take on the role of Christian Grey. One fan favorite for the part seems to be Matt Bomer, although he hasn’t publicly expressed any interest and his name reportedly doesn’t feature in Universal’s uber-secret list of Christian Grey hopefuls.

Hunnam's exit has thrown the production in a state of chaos.

This oh-so-secretive list – part of which was nonetheless revealed by The Hollywood Reporter – also includes British TV stars Jamie Dornan, 31, and Christian Cooke, 26.

The Fifty Shades of Grey movie appears to be in turmoil. With now just 17 days until the first day of filming in Vancouver, the project - headed by Sam Taylor-Johnson - is without a leading man after Charlie Hunnam dropped out, citing a packed schedule.

Of course, Hunnam and his agent will have known his commitments to Sons of Anarchy when initially taking the part, therefore reports the actor got cold feet are probably not too far off the mark.

Hunnam was set to play the young, rich businessman Christian Grey in the big screen adaptation of E.L. James 'Fifty Shades of Grey,' which will undoubtedly contain the explicit sex scenes featured in the controversial novel.
