The off-Broadway debut of the musical based on Janis Joplin's life has been delayed indefinitely.

A Night With Janis Joplin, starring Mary Bridget Davies as the iconic singer, impressed critics when it opened on Broadway in October (13) and the show's bosses announced plans to move it to another New York venue when the run at the Lyceum Theatre ended in January (14).

The show was due to open at the smaller Gramercy Theatre on Thursday (10Apr14), but on Wednesday (09Apr14) bosses announced it had been postponed indefinitely due to production issues.
