Jared Leto (born 26.12.1971) Jared Leto is an American actor, as well as a musician.
Childhood: Jared Leto was born in Bossier City in Louisiana. His family relocated often whilst he was a child and he has lived in Wyoming, Colorado, Haiti and Virginia.
When he graduated from school, Jared Leto attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He later transferred to the School of Visual Arts in New York.
Acting Career: Jared Leto moved to Los Angeles in 1992 in order that he could follow his dream to become an actor. After landing a number of small-time acting parts, he eventually got a part in the TV series My So-Called Life, which also starred Clare Danes. The show ended in 1995 and Leto went on to appear in a number of high profile films.
Leto featured in films such as How to Make an American Quilt, Girl, Interrupted (which also starred Winona Ryder) and Fight Club.
In 2000, Leto starred as Harry Goldfarb, a heroin addict, in Darren Aronofsky's Requiem for a Dream. His performance won him a great deal of critical acclaim. Following on from this performance, Leto also appeared in Mary Harron's American Psycho, alongside Christian Bale. Leto then went on to appear in Panic Room, with Jodie Foster, Highway, with Jake Gyllenhaal and he also starred in Oliver Stone's Alexander, alongside Colin Farrell.
In Chapter 27, Leto played Mark Chapman, the man that killed John Lennon.

The first is called 30 Seconds to Mars and the second is A Beautiful Lie. In May 2007, 30 Seconds to Mars were the opening act for Linkin Park's European tour.
30 Seconds to Mars became embroiled in a lawsuit with Virgin Records, who claim that the band has failed to deliver three albums, as was agreed in their contract.
The actor is excited about the direction the sequel may take.
As the Clown Prince of Crime and following the debut he made in 'Suicide Squad', Jared Leto has truly divided opinions with his portrayal of Batman's most formidable opponent, the Joker. With incomparable talents like Mark Hamill and Heath Ledger setting the bar so high, there were lofty expectations when Leto's version of the criminal was announced.
Jared Leto rocking the purple as the Joker in 'Suicide Squad'
Different to any version of the Joker we've ever seen in live-action before, but harbouring a lot of the personality we've seen from various incarnations in the DC Comics world, Leto's Joker was another delve into the world of insanity for Joker fans. Excitingly, this time round we got to see him interacting with Harley Quinn, played by Margot Robbie.
The actor does however say the project is in its "very early days".
Earlier this year, rumours started to swirl about a potential 'TRON' reboot, with some claiming the project was already in development and 'Suicide Squad' actor and Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman Jared Leto attached to a starring role.
Jared Leto has confirmed he's involved in the rumoured 'TRON' reboot
Since that point, news surrounding the alleged reboot has been scarce, but in a new interview, Leto has confirmed he's a part of bringing 'TRON' back, despite not offering too much information about the project.

It's been 35 years since Ridley Scott's 1982 sci-fi classic, which was set in 2019. This sequel is once again a visual spectacle that mixes super-cool images with a jaggedly engaging noir-style mystery that grapples with issues of memory and identity. It's a staggeringly beautiful epic, as director Denis Villeneuve (Arrival) invests intelligence and artistry into each imaginative setting. He also avoids falling into the standard structure of an action blockbuster, skipping hackneyed things like chase scenes for much deeper emotions.
In the past 30 years, earth's eco-system has collapsed, leaving people scrambling for resources in grimy mega-cities like Los Angeles. Human-like replicants have been refined, but blade runners like K (Ryan Gosling) are still on hand to hunt down old models that have gone rogue. Then K discovers a skeleton of a replicant that apparently gave birth, which should be impossible. So K's boss (Robin Wright) instructs him to hunt down the child and erase all evidence. But Wallace (Jared Leto), head of the monolithic corporation that controls all technology, wants to find the child himself. He sends his favourite sidekick Luv (Sylvia Hoeks) to follow K and his virtual girlfriend Joi (Ana de Armas) as they track down long-lost blade runner Deckerd (Harrison Ford), who is hiding in radioactive Las Vegas and might have some answers.
The plot is packed with implications that get K's mind spinning with possibilities, and the audience's as well. And Gosling is terrific as a guy who is cold on the surface, only barely concealing his conflicting feelings. His scenes with de Armas are superb, as she offers him some romantic hope amid the doom and gloom. Gosling and Ford also generate some terrific chemistry, exchanging physical and verbal blows. And as the villain and his henchwoman, Leto and Hoeks bring plenty of menace.
